This is all part of Cruz’s “Superior ground game” that we’ve been hearing about. No wonder the 7 staffers quit, more to follow, starting Tuesday.
More thn 80% of GOPers ALWAYS stay home!
There are PRODUCTIVE ways to use this data.
Scam tactics are not productive.
This is not from a Big Brother data base.
Anyone can get another person’s voter participation history by simply going on line to a state data base, probably under the Secretary of State page.
There is not a single competent campaign that doesn’t use that information. You can bet Trump’s campaign is using that same information.
Well, if the scores are figured and kept by the party, should not the anger be at the party? I would rather know they do it than not know.
In the end, big deal. It is public information. But if someone is mad, be mad that those who gather the info.
The Trump campaign is not mailing people’s voting histories to their neighbors.
How about be mad at the person/campaign that is mailing your personal voting record/history to your nearest neighbors.
Wow. You would think by now that the Cruz camp would use some of that “power of positive thinking” that DT uses. Something more like, “This is the most important election in US history. Make the sacrifice and effort to vote because it is you, the voter, that will bring our nation back to the standards upon which it was built.”
This is disgusting.
After all the low-life shit Trump has done, his supporters are complaining that some group supporting Cruz is using publicly available information to encourage voters to get out and vote?
People who don’t vote ought to exposed and prodded to fulfill their duty as a citizen.
It’s all part of the Gnu Yak Sitty and State Utopia led by the Supreme Leader, Prince Andrew of Cuomo. The bleeding of wealth and jobs out of here is now approaching freightening levels...
Nothing is more disgusting than Trump lying about his past political positions.
It has already been confirmed.
And after which, some Cruz people said it was a great idea.
So there you go.
It is not your voting record. It is participation record. A republic relies on participation. It is to motive people to participate. If you don’t like the data being collected, gripe about that. But since it is public information, it is a valid means of motivating people to participate. The same sort of method is used when you see lists of donors sent out or on programs and all of that. Colleges do it all the time. They say who is participating in alumni giving and give percentage totals. March of Dimes gets neighbors to send around lists for collection.
I think I may have received one of these one time. I get so much mail during some election cycles that I really do not pay much attention. I don’t care. Frankly, seeing it would motivate me to raise my score. You can’t make America great if Americans don’t do their duty.
Some cities publish tax records in the newspapers. You can look up people’s property tax and even see if they are delinquent.
If that's the case, it won't take very long to ferret out. Do you have any evidence to present?
And nothing more typical than a rabid Cruzer trying to twist an article about a major gaffe by his candidate into something about Trump.
Your meme about everything being perfect about Cruz is crumbling before you, yet you blame others. Simple desperation.
And fwiw, Trump hasn’t lied about his past. He’s been quite open about it.
Lying is your guy’s style.
Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler confirmed to IJ Review that the mailer was theirs in a phone call Friday evening, saying that the targeting had been "very narrow, but the caucuses are important and we want people who haven't voted before to vote." (link)
“his supporters are complaining that some group supporting Cruz is using publicly available information to encourage voters to get out and”
Keep spinning.
