Sweden is one of the most welcoming countries in Europe, taking in more refugees per capita than anyone else.
But residents of at least one small town outside of Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city, are beginning to regret that open arms policy.
Mölndal is a quiet suburb of 63,000. But in the last year, more than 4,000 refugees - most of them unaccompanied minors from the Middle East and Africa - have set off a crime wave that culminated in the murder of a social worker in a refugee center that has shocked Europe.
The murder of social worker Alexandra Mezher at a home for unaccompanied refugees this week has shone the spotlight on the country’s controversial open-door immigration policy.
The 22-year-old’s mother Chimene, who arrived in Sweden as a refugee, claims the country is no longer safe.
Heartbroken Mrs Mezher said: ‘We left Lebanon to escape the civil war, the violence and the danger. We came to Sweden where it was safe, to start a family. But it is not safe anymore.’
Her husband Bourous, 45, moved to Sweden from Beirut in 1989 and built up a pizza business. Mrs Mezher, who has three sons, said: 'She was not just my daughter, she was my angel. She was a just and fair human being. There were so many who loved her. She was my daughter, my friend.'
She blamed Swedish politicians for a dramatic rise in immigration in Molndal – particularly of unaccompanied children.
Officers in Mölndal say they have had to ignore lesser offences such as drug-dealing because they are so overrun by migrant crime, with gang fights and violent assaults.

It’s interesting that they use the term “minors” to describe the rapefugees, as they are mostly fit young healthy men of fighting age in almost any country, but especially in their countries of origin.
Many of these "unaccompanied children" are, in fact, grown men who discovered that minors receive more welfare benefits and Swedish authorities are too polite to ask any questions.
Naturally, the Swedes refuse to believe that anyone would lie about their age in order to scam the system and continue to process these burly, bearded "children" in to their country.
We can see thru the mirror provided, this is our fate if we allow these unrelenting enemies those in elected and non elected so called activist positions to forge ahead with thier destrutive plan for America. The enemiies who were at the front gate are slowly being filtered in by the enemies within.
And their problems are just beginning. 150 years after slavery many blacks in the USA still have little interest in assimilating.
How could they be so STUPID?
Unless this is part of a larger, more sinister plan.
Had it been available a few years back, the Swedes should have read and considered the Muslim’s before opening the doors so eagerly. ANY Christian country should denounce Islam and the ilk connected with it. Tolerating the “muzzies” within their own territories is one thing but to deliberately bring them into your own is sheer madness. They are animals, pure and simple.

The percentage of certain “immigrants” & what happens as those percentages increase is very informative.
Sweden and Germany have committed cultural suicide. The death will not be quick or painless. Neither have the testicular fortitude to actually deport anyone.
The Swedes have just been mugged, by members of the most vicious street gang in the world.
Either get up swinging, or lie there supine while the muggers go through your pockets, strip you bare and repeatedly violate you over and over, until you finally expire.
So far, this is one of the cheapest and easiest victories the Islamists have been able to carry out.

Well the kid who killed this woman actually was a minor, he’s only 15 years old or something like that.
That need to end too, esp. here. In fact all western countries need to end immigration now. They can take refugees, but not Muslim ones.
Face it, Muslims are the problem, not the victims.

I lived in Molndal for two years, and went to the school for immigrants there for a third. My beautiful fifteen year old daughter is supposed to go and see her father there this summer...not.
