Last week, the conservative magazine National Review published a long and scathing attack on Donald J. Trump. Notable names included Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson, Michael Medved, and Thomas Sowell. Absent was the radio champion of conservatism, Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh said National Reviewâs attack came âtoo late now,â and would not convince Trumpâs supporters. This may be true, but it could also be Limbaughâs way of explaining why he wonât attack Trump himself. Could Limbaugh be âcheating on conservatismâ with The Donald? Does he identify with Trump, or does Limbaughâs hatred of the âestablishmentâ run so deep that he is willing to tacitly support a questionably conservative candidate just to revel in the establishmentâs defeat?
Limbaugh did not respond to PJ Mediaâs request for comment, but he may have hinted recently at the reason why he refrains from attacking The Donald -- as questionably conservative as Trump is, he is still better than Hillary Clinton. But is this understanding correct, or just another dodge?

That’s crap. Until Chump started playing the birther issue Cruz was rising.
With friends like Chump who needs enemies.
He waited too long, in my opinion.
In a campaign, you anticipate attacks. He should have had all of them figured out and attacked with his vulnerabilities covered. It’s not like he didn’t have time.
We’ll know on Tuesday if they have the numbers counted.
Rush hates it when the media, or the establishment try to take out a candidate before the people get to choose. Remember Hillary in 2012.
Sour grapes and pontificating stompy feet from the so called erudite is what I see. Every darn single solitary 4 year election cycle. Wahhhh, Rush won't do this and Rush won't do that...

“Sounds like being offended IS the national pastime now...........”
It’s all entertaining and at least there is that this year. Definitely not a boring primary. But much of this pap about Rush for example is just the usual fodder.
Rush does not endorse during primaries. If he’s talking about Trump, it’s in response to the media, which is what he’s all about. It’s obvious Rush would prefer to pull the lever for Cruz. If the media was lying about Jeb, I’m sure he would respond to that too, though he clearly does not care for Jeb.
Pro-Abortion Trump or the one who says he’s changed his mind?
Build the wall Trump or the one who’s going to give them touchback amnesty?
The “I can negotiate with Pelosi” Trump?
The Pro 2A Trump or the one who’s fine with “some restrictions”?
The married 3 times Trump who wrote about sleeping with married women?
Liberal-tarian globalists claim to be THE conservatives now. They are not conservatives in any way.
And either the Cruz flat tax or the Fair Tax will likewise decimate tax accountants, tax lawyers, tax preparers, tax software companies and IRS employees.
