Debate Without Trump Gets Better Ratings Than Last Debate with Trump
The Weekly Standard ^ | Jan 29, 2016 | John McCormack

Donald Trump's campaign manager predicted that Thursday night's GOP presidential debate on Fox News would only get "about 2 million" viewers because Trump refused to show up. In fact, "Fox News likely had 11 million to 13 million viewers for the debate," CNN's Brian Stelter reports...

Trump said he wouldn't debate on Thursday because Fox News and moderator Megyn Kelly had not been nice to him. Trump instead held a rally and fundraiser for veterans. The leader of one veterans group called the fundraiser a political "stunt." In recent years Trump's charitable foundation has given more money to the Clinton Foundation than it has given to veterans groups.

CNN’s BS estimate is not a rating.

Who cares about TV ratings, really? Always about themselves. Perhaps they should vote on the moderators. Audience could send one to Hollywood with golden ticket.

Liars.

Lying by Omission.

last debate was on Fox Business. Fox Business has a much smaller media foot print then Fox News. Last Fox News debate got 24 MILLION viewers. That Fox News, which reaches many many more households, got virtually the same numbers as Fox Business and barly half of their 24 million of the 1st debate, is an rating disaster for Fox.

And on eve of Iowa, and on more powerful network available in more homes.

Fox News debate draws higher ratings than the last debate, but still second-lowest of the cycle http://hotair.com/?p=3891845

Allahpundit is anti Trump.

This was last debate before first election, it should be on 20-30 millions.. First Fox debate was 22 million.

Uh...last I saw, last night’s debate got worse numbers than all the rest of the GOP debates except for that one that hardly anyone knew about on Fox Business.

So what? It's not as though the ratings turn into poll results, either pre-election polls, or election results.

The last time Trump was on with Fox and Megyn the ratings were 24 million.

The current debate was 12-13 million.

How is that interpreted as the ratings going up?

Uh, a bit misleading. If you follow the source linked in the article, you'll see that this was the second lowest rated debate, and that the lowest rated one -- by only a point -- was on the "harder to find Fox Business Network."

2nd lowest rating. The Fox business debate was lower because the channel is not available on some cable networks.

That can’t be. I heard right here on FR that nobody was watching it.:) Pied Piper Trump supporters will come up with some excuse for it.

Probably, most I know wanted to see what a debate without Trump would look like. Ratings still revolved around Trump.

This is terrible journalism. Fox Business is much less available than Fox News.

11 million for FBN is big whereas 13 million for Fox News is...lower than some of the Saturday night Dem debates got.
