should read he does not....
That is not the truth.. Ted Cruz is not for amnesty and never was.. That video was him trying to convince the Dems to let his amendment on the bill.. Which would have killed the bill in the Senate.. As it is it never passed the House thank god and Ted never voted for it either...
Are you including Cruz?
All hail the great, powerful, and omniscient Donald Trump!
But YOU are breathless about things that Clinton- and Pelosi-loving Donald Trump says.
Are you that obtuse? I am far to old and intelligent to be breathless over anyone. I see both Cruz and Trump as flawed but one far more so than the other. Trump is what you see, but more and more I think things come out showing Cruz is not the person we think. So I don’t know who he is. I hope I am wrong because they are the only candidates that offer any hope.
Trump never showed so they went after Cruz.
Disgusting by FOX and the slutty kelly
Kelly and co think the debates are all about them due to their ego’s. I’m sick of the elitist media
Well stated.
Of course, he supported ‘legalization’ and tried to amend the Gang of Eight bill to achieve that. No worse than the others, but no better either.
I think that many have swallowed lying Madison Avenue propaganda about Cruz.
Probably because "Touchback" is an intentional mischaracterization.
The unedited interview is here
He's proposing a simplified process for those that are qualified to return. Current law is (IIRC) 10 years confirmable history, with a list of qualifiers, so it'll probably be something along that line for those allowed to return.
Perhaps we should have a Cruz-Kelly 2016 ticket.
The hard “K” sound has a nice ear to it.
CRUZ-KELLY 2016: It Borders on Beckism
There is some sort of Vulcan mind probe that seems to be happening to Trumpsters.
On the fact of it, Megyn Kelly admitted in an after debate interview that she was wrong, that Cruz had never supported amnesty. True. He never has. This is the entire story.
But all the posts here are saying:
Megyn is blonde, too blonde, has a hidden agenda too convoluted to be believed, Candy Crowley, Trump is great.
All the sense has gone from the earth... at least the cyber-earth inhabited on FR by the Trump fanatics.
I agree with you about what Tramp is saying. At the 3:30 mark he talks about this:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/29/politics/donald-trump-immigration-plan-healthcare-flip-flop/index.html
1. those who break the law - out
2. those who don’t break the law ⦠“an expedited process” (the touchback)
At another time, the Donald said, you just can’t deport them. You have to give them a path to citizenship. There another alternative. If, for compassionate reasons, you can deport them, you can offer legal status but not citizenship (the Cruz position).
The difference isn’t rhetoric. With citizenship comes the right to vote. People who come here to go on welfare and then join the looters and moochers in the Democratic Party, are bankrupting the country. We’ve got to secure the borders and stop the bleeding. While, politically and/or for compassionate reasons, we might not be able to deport them, we should only give the right to vote to those who will be self-supporting and will join with taxpayers in fairly considering the cost and benefits of social welfare programs. (When things calm back down, I think the Donald will come around to the Cruz position.)
Another thing: both Cruz and Trump oppose birthright citizenship (anchor babies). None of the other candidates has such a forthright position.
Crowley admitted AFTER the debate that she was wrong. Do you actually believe she didn’t know that when she backed Obama?
The same with Kelly. She can admit all she wants AFTER 12 million people has seen her lie. But very few see where she says she was wrong.
“(the touchback)”
It’s important to point out, the interview which was referenced earlier was done prior to Trumps immigration policy paper being issued which clarifies the conditions for reentry and legal status.
Bottom line, there’s zero similarity between Trump’s policy and what is generally considered a “touchback”. As NUMBERSUSA points out; “The difference between Trump’s Touchback and Pence’s seems to be that Trump has put a lot of “have-to” steps before the amnesty would be given. Those steps might take years.”
Regarding anchor babies. Trump’s policy calls for ending birthright citizenship. We’ll have to see what point in time that is best addressed, but IMO it is a back burner issue for the simple reason implementation of border security and deportation would reduce the issue to a low order of significance.
Would you point out where, in his position paper, he states his current position regarding mass deportation of illegal aliens who haven’t broken the law without the prospect of legal re-entry? I read the thing when it was published, and didn’t see a specific statement.
Kelly’s integrity is zilch.
You couldn’t find it either?
