The first question and joke of the night, unsurprisingly, were about the man who did not show.

Responding to Fox moderator Megyn Kelly's question about what kind of message it sends the people of Iowa to boycott the prime-time debate, Ted Cruz vowed to make the state "fly-to country" when he becomes president in 2017, not "flyover country."

You might be right. in any event he is using his time to good advantage. Did Rubio and Cruz get into it tonight? I just wasn’t in the mood for more dirty politics tonight. Glad i watched Trump’s show.

Which is, of course, why he did what he did.

Glad to hear it was so bad. Of course, after watching something lovely, the gruesome show always seems even more awful.

Sadly you missed the most substantial of the debates but you did get to see a nice clown show so I guess in a way it was your choice it’s a darn shame that he set up the funding to go to the Trump foundation is them specifically for what he claimed it was going to but please don’t let that get in the way of a trumpgasm.

I don’t know what kind of message M.Kelly wants voters to get, but the msg. that Trump gave...I can’t quote exactly, but it addressed how people do NOT have to tolerate being ill treated. He talked about how the USA is ill treated all over the world, how we are laughed at..that sort..and that we don’t have to tolerate THAT, either.

It was a message that resonated with me, I’m sure it resonated with Viet Nam vets too. I was very glad to see him address abuse and game playing for self satisfaction sake.

For a show that was quickly thrown together at the drop of a hat, it was VERY well done!

Some are saying that his fund-raiser was a flop, because only a handful of rich friends of Trump made the donations. And, they’re accusing him of taking the money for himself.

There are some really, nasty, small minded people out there who are so blinded by their own rottenness, that they can’t possibly see the good in others.

I’m sure Trump has is failings. He’s a MAN, not a god. One of his paradoxical failings is this; He might not always be right, but he’s never wrong.

He’s a lousy public speaker...he’s too human. He doesn’t hide himself, he’s transparent, consequently, genuine. He addresses issues RIGHT NOW, doesn’t procrastinate. He says what he thinks whether people like it or not. I’ll bet he sleeps good at night, too. He doesn’t keep his mouth shut and let stuff fester inside while he’s busy looking like a nice guy.

I have tons of respect for him, but I wouldn’t want to work for him. He runs a tight ship, and I’m not born that competent!

What he HAS done is show the nasty, dirty slime behind the beautiful eyes, clothes, smiles and nods. He ‘sees’ people.

I like that in a person.

It was set up so that no percentages are deducted for handling it or “servicing it” and ALL moneys will go to the vets. Many of the donations are in the way of checks from friends of Donald’s in the tens of thousands of dollars. It will be divided among several different groups, all publicly displayed to be seen by anyone who wishes to see instead of throw mud on a wholesome endeavor. Too bad some incredibly unpatriotic and ill mannered people choose to call a benefit for our Veterans a clown show. YOU were watching the clown show! I was watching an All-American Benefit for our Vets. By the way Huckabee and Santorum were wonderful additions and most gracious.

All is fair in love and WAR. No more kindergarten recess for the children to play by the moderators rules. We are now delivered from the insane asylum and more of the same old establishment control. Bravo Trump. Great show!

That’s an ironclad language just like when he wanted to remove all the people on 5th Avenue who happened to be vendors with veteran certificates who were by law allowed to be there he was ever so nice to them, oh wait no actually had them or try to have them removed. Clown show? It celebrated veterans. Unlike the debate, which celebrated politicians and members of the media.

Well I guess we should just all wrap ourselves in the flag and quit trying to make a decision based on facts or reality. I support men and women who have served our nation in the armed forces DJT managed to have a show where he says he won’t contribute a tiny amount of money compared to his daily income to their cause. Headline is incorrect.

Trump was barely mentioned by the candidates in the “debate”, which was the best one yet. And that was in spite of Chris Wallace trying his snarky best to stir up attacks among the candidates. Rubio and Paul were frequently attacking others.

My rankings based on +/- responses:
Cruz
Christi
Bush
Carson
Rubio
Kasich
Paul
