The culture wars rage on in the battle over marriage. Despite the Supreme Court's decision to legalize "same-sex" marriage last summer, the battles over this radical ruling show no signs of letting up. Two of the victims of the "tolerance police" in New York state are Robert and Cynthia Gifford. The Giffords, owners of a small farm in upstate NY, occasionally allowed their farm to be used for wedding ceremonies. But when a lesbian couple called them to use the facility, that's when the trouble began. A couple who hosts occasional wedding ceremonies on their New York farm have lost an appeal to overturn the $13,000 in fines levied against them by the state's human rights agency, which ruled that their refusal to host a wedding for two women was discriminatory.
On Jan. 14, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, upheld the agency's order and the fines, a decision the Alliance Defending Freedom – which represented Robert and Cynthia Gifford – said amounted to confirming, "that the government can punish the Giffords for declining to coordinate a ceremony that conflicts with their conscience." The couple lives in a barn they built on their farm and have occasionally hosted weddings on the first floor and the surrounding backyard area, according to ADF.
"After the agency ruled that the Giffords were guilty of 'sexual orientation discrimination,' it fined them $10,000, plus $3,000 in damages and ordered them to implement re-education training classes designed to contradict the couple’s religious beliefs about marriage," a press release issued following the court decision stated.
In order to comply with the order, the couple will have to attend those "re-training" classes or have a "trainer" come to them, according to ADF...

You obviously have no grasp on the Constitution and the role of the SCOTUS.
We do have almost limitless rights that FedGov cannot lawfully infringe upon, and they are spelled out in the Constitution, mostly in the 9th and 10th Amendments (which are routinely ignored - for now). I agree that the time for enthusiastically and forcefully enforcing Code 18/242 is not now, not in what passes for courts under Obama and his minions, but I pray it will be soon.

The Constitution only re-affirms a few, it does NOT spell them out; it is an instrument of containment for govt. Nothing more. To say otherwise, as your suggest, would open the door to ‘pass an Amendment, strike out a Right’ or ‘Living Constitution’.
As to your last point, I was only pointing out govt (Courts) are NOT going to reign in those whom butter their bread (govt); regardless of a GW Bush, Obama or Trump/Cruz admin.
Still, EVERY infringement should be fought...OFTEN, LOUDLY, long and brutally. To remind those in govt We the People still hold all the power/cards and they SHOULD be wary We retake what is rightfully ours.

I probably should have said recognized, meaning legally, I believe it’s a bad decision and would like to see it overturned, vacated or whatever they can do. I believe in life at conception. I also believe the couple in New York should have the right to decline to host a gay marriage, don’t believe they should be fined and I believe that “re-education” reeks of socialism and repression of individual rights and “1984” thought control. Why don’t you get to your point and say what you question or object to my post. I would have thought anyone here would get it.
New York values are not our values.

You mentioned Nevada, you do realize this is a solid red state but because of Clark and Washoe county, we're blue?
Look at the electoral county map of the US, it's majority red, yet population pockets rule the day.

I may have got there quicker had you not been asking about abortion and were able to get to the point.
