Yee-haw, Mav!
You do know that RC-135s are our, right?
Please put this brownshoe on the Navair ping list?

I should know that. It's whatever trainer they have at Meridian NAS.
He's about halfway through ground school.
Not sure when he gets his specific assignment. I'll try to remember to ask him.
Flipping the bird to the Russians only happens in movies. I think there are a few of us on here who can vouch for that...Me and My RC.
I know...but Americans like to think the air-force “hot shots” are JUST THAT GOOD...
We like our boys in uniform.
Originally 1950âs vintage.
All now completely rebuilt with "Glass Cockpits", and more powerful engines. Service life extended maybe another 25-30 years. When better birds are built, Boeing will build them. If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!
Somewhere I saw a picture taken by a USAF fighter/interceptor pilot of a Soviet Bear bomber. One of the Russkis was expressing his opinion of the pilot in an unmistakable hand gesture.
No, actually it was a separate development. The 707 and the KC135 are both derived from the 367-80 prototype. The KC135 is narrower, shorter, more heavily braced, and actually preceded the 707 airliner. The famous Tex Johnson barrel-roll was done in the -80. You can see it on display at the Udvar-Hazy Center near IAD, next time you're in Virginia.
Yep. Cute little airplane. To me its lines favor the old A-4 Skyhawk a little, but they’re unrelated.
Good luck and Godspeed to him.
He did his centrifuge test already. 7.5 g’s for 12 or 15 seconds I believe it was.
Sent me a video. Made MY heart race.
Nice. You’ll surely want to see his handwriting sample when he does high-altitude training.
Hypoxia makes you stupid.
We were talking last night and he was remarking on the difference in the general atmosphere at Meridian as opposed to Pensacola.
Said Primary felt more “stressful” than what he is experiencing so far. I got the feeling he is being expected to assume more responsibility for his own success.
He’s a prior service (Reserves) so he is attuned to the various motivational techniques and has adapted as he goes.
Good to know.
Boeing RC-135
Reconnaissance aircraft
The Boeing RC-135 is a family of large reconnaissance aircraft built by Boeing and modified by a number of companies, including General Dynamics, Lockheed, LTV, E-Systems, and L-3.
I’m well aware. I worked on them. I was asking if you were aware.
I was thrown off by your "are our."
No, I didn't know ANYTHING about the aircraft. Why would I know anything about a military reconnaisance aircraft?
