Donald Trump goes on raging tweetstorm about Megyn Kelly and the 'total disaster' debate
Business Insider ^ | January 28, 2016 | Brett LoGiurato

Real-estate mogul Donald Trump called the coming Fox News-hosted Republican debate a "total disaster" and shared a Twitter user's post that called Fox News host Megyn Kelly a "bimbo" during a raging series of tweets hours before he was set to boycott the Thursday-night debate.

"The 'debate' tonight will be a total disaster — low ratings with advertisers and advertising rates dropping like a rock. I hate to see this," the Republican presidential front-runner wrote.

The real-estate tycoon had told Fox host Bill O'Reilly on Wednesday night that he hoped Fox did "well," even though he said the network would "make much less" money without him on stage.

Trump also continued his assault on Kelly, with whom he has feuded for months.

One tweet, which Trump promoted on his account Thursday morning, attacked Kelly for a GQ Magazine photo shoot and labeled her a "bimbo."

"And this is the bimbo that's asking presidential questions?" the tweet said. The user attached two photos from the shoot with text that read, "Criticizes Trump for objectifying women ... Poses like this in GQ Magazine."

The candidate shared the post a day after he had said he wouldn't refer to Kelly as a "bimbo," a term used to insult women, because doing so would "not be politically correct."

Trump drew some backlash last year when he twice promoted tweets calling Kelly a "bimbo." One of the times Trump retweeted the insult was after Kelly, a moderator at an August debate, confronted him about past comments he had made about women's looks.

Honestly, I do not see how any new dem candidate can *legally* get on any primary ballots - so it would have to be a brokered convention. I’m not sure that plays well with the opposed factions in their party.

Trumps most rabid supporters.

Scenario: Trump shoots an innocent person.

Trump people: He only shot once.

He’s a really good shot.

See ... he is for guns.

That person he shot was ugly.

From an interview with Trump that is a little disturbing.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

On his feelings of superiority: “For the most part, you can’t respect people because most people aren’t worthy of respect,” he told Mr. D’Antonio.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/09/us/politics/donald-trump-likens-his-schooling-to-military

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
“MOST PEOPLE AREN’T WORTHY OF RESPECT” (emphasis mine.)
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This seems to be carried over into discussion here by some.

Take care.........pilgrim

I agree with that but I would word it a little bit differently:

The Cruz voters are better organized than the Trump voters and are more of a sure thing on caucus day.

What Trump is doing is overcoming that voter-organization deficit by motivating his amorphous majority to get them to definitely show up and caucus.

If you allow Trump to call any woman a bimbo, then you should never complain if your wife, daughter, or mother is called one, also.

False dichotomy.

Your point about this type of behavior being less than presidential is a better point, and doesn't use a glaring logical fallacy as its basis.

It makes absolutely no difference whether Megyn Kelly is a conservative or not.

She is what Rush would call a reporterette. A successful one but basically an on-air personality.

Your brave and fearless leader has let this woman obsess him for months. He did one juvenile tweet fest against her after the other debate

Then, since he thinks of himself as God, he demanded that Fox News fire her from the debate.

How would that have looked? They would have looked weak and he would have looked like a bully.

I expect him to pull out steel balls soon and start juggling them.

He’s on the brink of a meltdown that can only be averted if he wins decisively in Iowa. He simply cannot stand competition.

I just hope the meltdown occurs in time.

Trump also continued his assault on Kelly, with whom he has feuded for months.

More like, who Trump attacked for months. Kelly has not participated in any "feud." She's continued to do her job very well as an exceptionally fair-and-balanced journalist, always being as fair to Trump as she is to all the other candidates.

But, hey, good to know Trump is focused on the issues that matter to Americans, like calling women who don't kiss his butt "bimboes."

This is not about Megyn.

It’s about how the man you want to nominate to run the country handles a little criticism.

She didn’t criticize him for objectifying women, she criticized him for insulting women.

Did she criticize him for saying any woman was sexy, attractive or beautiful? Nope.

Good thing we live in the U.S. where women don’t have to cover up their bodies to please possessive Muslim goat-loving perverts.

So you watch Megyn every night? Who knew. I watch her occasionally and she seldom refers to Trump but never personal criticism of him.

You are assuming. Maggie made herself the story. Her little ‘tweet’ on the 25th promising the race would look different by Friday, was not Trump's tweet.

But the foxes out foxed themselves. They wanted to play games and make a whole bunch of money off Trump. Only in a warped world would anyone be blaming Trump for a bit of acid rain. See perhaps the next person that conspires to cut his legs from under him, will consider the outcome.

If you think for one second the foxes are having a happy day today because their open borders trap failed to take place and they lost all that revenue, then nobody can help you.

Blame trump, that still does seem to be the kook-aid.

You Trump fanboys are licking up everything he puts in front of you twisting reality. Trump said Hillary would be a great president.....He donated money to the Clinton foundation and democrats. While Megyn Kelly has been fighting for the conservative for years. You just trying to slime her because she had guts enough to stand up to your ONE.

I think a lot of people may be coming to that point... they won’t vote for Trump in the general.

Could we have another Hillary by default thing?
