Ted Cruz Super PACs Offer $1.5M for Veterans if Donald Trump Will Debate Him One-on-One In Iowa
Breitbart ^ | 1/27/2016 | Matthew Boyle

DES MOINES, Iowa - A pair of pro-Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) Super PACs just offered $1.5 million for veterans if Donald Trump will debate Cruz one-on-one in Iowa before Sunday evening.

Keep The Promise I and Keep The Promise II offered up the sizable donation for America's veterans on Wednesday evening.

The principal donors of Keep the Promise I, the Mercer family, and Keep the Promise II, the Neugebauer family, in a joint statement released Wednesday evening said:

Senator Cruz and Mr. Trump both respect the veterans and hold them in the highest regard but Senator Cruz respects the process and we are calling on Mr. Trump to do the same and debates are the purest form of democracy. Iowans - and Americans - deserve to hear from the frontrunners in this 'two-man race' one last time. Not only would this be a heck of a debate, but it would also be a terrific opportunity to generate millions of dollars for the veterans.

The press release made clear the parameters of the pro-Cruz Super PACs' offer: The debate must be between just Trump and Cruz, must take place on or before Sunday Jan. 31 in Iowa, must be one-hour long, and the candidates can pick a jointly-agreed-to moderator themselves.

Cruz has become a total joke. Of course, I'm sure since Ted can't coordiante with his PACs that he had nothing to do with this /s/. I'd have more respect if he peeled off a C note of his own and made a donation. But in Cruz Land, his Super PAC money is good money and everyone else's is bad money.

Go away.

I am not even gonna vote for you now if you get nominated.

Get ready for Jeb, cause he is surging in New Hampshire.

This is disingenuous grandstanding. Plus, how CAN he speak for a PAC when they aren’t supposed to have contact.

A one-on-one debate between Cruz and Trump would be a good thing for the country.

I hope it happens.

Why not just give the money to the vets? Trump isn’t asking for anything in return.

Your are so blinded by donnie you don’t recognize truth any more. Such a shame.
Do you really think his super PACS don’t watch the news?
You guys throw out the teeny tiniest grains again Cruz and cannot see the 100 year old oak tree in donnie’s eye.

If Cruz is nominated, you won't vote for him?

So if the PAC’s are not coordinating with the Cruz campaign how would they know Cruz would be available and want to debate Trump Sunday evening?

I find this disgusting. He will only give money if Trump debates him? Why not give the money anyway? Lord knows he doesn’t give anything to the church except the puny 1 percent. Cruz sucks more and more every minute. He is worse then pond scum due to this nasty request.

Isn’t there a rule at the RNC that candidates cannot participate in debates not sanctioned by the RNC?

Oh good point.

If Cruz really wants a fair debate, he should not exclude Rubio. But he’s afraid Rubio will take his 2nd spot.

That’s what he said. Scratch many Trumpets and you find a Democrat or a Paulestinian.

Not much time left when Ted goes down. Gotta try all the goofy tricks he can think about.

I know you think that you're on to something, but for starters, your premise is wrong.

That’s because Trump is running and ducking until the voting begins.

They coordinate all the time. I’d say by third party to keep a distance. Hey I didn’t talk to my PACs! Yeah sure.

Such incredible desperation. The bragging about their ‘ground game’ is another sign of it.

Ted Cruz’ ‘ground game’ came to see me. It was two kids, the oldest not more than 12. It obviously wasn’t the first time they had been told that he could NOT count on my vote and that everyone in my household felt the same way.

Trump should offer to debate while faux news and me-again have their “also ran” debate. Can you imagine that, a prime time debate and number 1 and 2 don’t show up.
