One can't help but notice that there is a strong contingent of what can only be described as people who hate the idea of Donald Trump being President. It's descended into outright personal hatred by some.
But wow...ever since he announced that he wouldn't be doing the debate it's gone up to a whole new level.
My question is...why?? The main insult of detractors now seems to be "Oooh...Trump can't handle questions from a girl how's he going to handle (FILL IN THE BLANK DESPOT)?" Or Trump is afraid of Cruz. Or Trump is afraid to debate.
Now if these things are so easy to discern then shouldn't these folks be outrageously happy? If this is going to hurt Trump so much and make him look so bad shouldn't they be encouraging him to stay out of the debate instead of trying to goad him into it?
Is there any way that any people who don't support Trump can admit that this is a brilliant political move? His one announcement has given him at least 48 hours of wall to wall Trump coverage. He's backed FOX into a corner and made advertisers angry at FOX. He was sure to be the main target of all the candidates AND at least one moderator...but now all the other candidates are going to be gunning for Ted Cruz instead. So he's letting the other candidates try to take out Cruz and he doesn't have to lift a finger.
Now don't get me wrong I love Cruz and IF he could get elected I would love a President Cruz. Cruz is a fighter BUT he's not a leader. And that's the big difference. Trump is a fighter AND a leader.
So if skipping this debate is bad for Trump then why the hyper vitriol?
They’re mad because they thought they could “gotcha” Trump with that illegal immigrant questioner spinning a sob story while pretending to ask a question.
Oh Noes! not the truth!
Oh Noes! not the truth!
Cuz Trump’s a weenie.
I have seen some Cruz haters but my unscientific observation is that it seems like Trump haters outnumber them two to one...
It’s not hate of Trump... it’s distrust. We’re just not that willing to be played by a political shapeshifter such as Trump.
“houldn’t these folks be outrageously happy? If this is going to hurt Trump so much and make him look so bad shouldn’t they be encouraging him to stay out of the debate instead of trying to goad him into it?”
EXACTLY.
I think it is one of the most clear indications of his plutocratic status.
He is better than the rest of us.
He has explained himself.
He no longer owes further explanations because he has done six debates.
He is now ready to start moving toward left and explaining how he will make deals with the Left— after using the debates to besmirch anyone who disagreed with him.
Its hard to imagine who he would choose as a VP given his visceral displays of contempt for conservative candidates such as Cruz. I think it is quite possible Trump could choose an independent or democrat to be his running mate.
I think debate is an important and valuable civic function. I think he believes he is above it.
easy.
they were hoping for a miracle to happen at the debate.
>> if Trump hadnât run, chances are Ted would be in the lead.
Although I prefer Cruz, I’m glad Trump ran. I doubt Ted would be as high in the polls as he is, had Trump not shaken things up so thoroughly.
Maybe Megyn Smelly hadn’t been going Full _itch back then. Also Romney was the establishment pick.
You’re thinking logically. Cruz supporters/ Trump haters are emoting.
I think Cruz may win Iowa.
When that happens people around here are going to be apoplectic.
Except for the Trump cultists (they know who they are) I get the feeling that his support is a mile wide and an inch thick.
Cruz represents ME!
Trump? Well, Trump represents Trump. What can I say?
Without Trump...who is Fox going to ask about Rosie O’Donnell? :o)
Well you are on a conservative site....
lmao....... if only cruz had a 30 point lead and a sack
I don’t know why they are so angry other than they are always angry, just like libs.
Ted gets the stage tomorrow night. They will get more of Ted.
They should be very happy!
Don’t be so logical.
This election is all about emotions.
Be emotional.
Get on the bandwagon.
Repeat trite slogans.
Build a Wall.
Make America Great.
Kiss Nancy Pelosi’s @$$
I am not angry, and I do not hate Trump. I see Trump as our Julius Caesar, and he may make America great again, but at the cost of America never being America again, the nation that was formed by our Founders. I would hate that, because I love the idea of America, and I want that for my children.
