Exactly!

95% of the Media is the enemy and now it is undeniably the State Controlled Media. As you say, no more floggings.

Hint: he’s never first.

Name a Republican Senator that has been in the last 20 years.

Actually, O’Reilly has been very fair to Trump. Greta, O’Reilly and The Five have treated Trump extremely fair -tough & honest questions but fair.

More people were against you vis-a-vis Obama, as well. Popularity is hardly a guarantee of quality. But, hey, at least you are willing to admit that you are taking Trump’s word for it. That’s where I fall short...

That's actually a fair question, one which I assume most Trump supporters have reconciled. The rationale goes like this:

1. He's the only one taking hard positions on amnesty, illegal immigration, trade agreements, etc. If he's lying about promised action, how is it then any different from everyone else who is dedicated to the status quo?

2. Secondly, why would he lie? These are extremely controversial positions; he needs the amount of attention it brings like a hole in the head. Whether he wins or loses, his privacy (such that it was) is completely shot. The rest of his life will be led behind a security cordon.

Obama campaigned on the promise of change. It's a nice, positive image that caused no controversy. He was a life-long under-achiever who was placed in his position - he had no real dog in the hunt because everything was always done for him. Therefore, when his hope & change pledge fell flat, no one was that surprised.

I find it impossible to compare the two men - you can't get much more different. It doesn't compute to me that Trump would take this much effort, engender this much heat, unless he really did care and was intent on making changes.

Why do you make the assumption that Trump is a chicken? Are you a sheep blathering everyone else’s talking points?

Trump has been fighting like hell for 8 months taking on comers from every direction. Cruz hid behind him for 7 months and tried to catch the backdraft.

Trump isn’t afraid - just smart.

Why should any Republican go to a debate stacked with angry biased Muslims and illegal immigrant sympathizers?

Every ... single ... last one of them on that stage will dodge and duck the Muslim and illegal immigration questions ... Trump wins the debate WITHOUT SHOWING UP.

Good analysis and points made.

Trump is like General Patton: He anticipates and acts accordingly.

“I’d be a little more concerned about Cruz at this point. He hasn’t been able to sell a plurality of GOP voters on anything.”

It’s not the message, it’s the messenger. Some find him credible. Most do not.

Trump is a coward, plain and simple. All talk. Somebody pushes back and he flees.

The whole debate system has been a joke for years, with biased moderators and news stations controlling the entire process and barely giving the candidates time.

I hope this whole Trump episode forever changes the way the debate process is handled.

I wish he wouldn’t. I can’t stand that bloviating pin head. BOR is one of the most obnoxious people on TV.
