In an appearance on Fox News Tuesday night, leading social conservative activist Tony Perkins endorsed Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz for president, joining a growing list of prominent Evangelical and conservative leaders who have officially backed the staunch conservative candidate.
The endorsement comes after Perkins, the president of the social conservative advocay group Family Research Council, was reported to have been a part of a meeting of as many as 50 national Evangelical leaders who gathered last December at a hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia and voted to coalesce their support around Cruz.

Hey I complained that this endorsement was not front page or getting any/much respect here. 1 Trump supporter scolded me and said I should try to post it under front page breaking news, so I took their advice
I dont see it there, this article is from the Christian Post, so it`s not a double.
Another poster suggested trying it also , I did and it`s not been put under front page or breaking as I can see.
BTW Free Republic has every right to not want to say anything positive for Cruz, I support that right, but dont give me this....we support Trump and Cruz because it`s not accurate.

Perhaps you have forgotten the obvious pandering conducted by Trump at Liberty U with Tony Perkins’ notes.
As if Ted Cruz is the only Christian running. This is virtue signaling. What he is really saying is “I’m the most Christian.” Didn’t the Pharisees see themselves as being more truly Jewish than anybody else?

Tony Perkins....who? Ted Cruz is in the process of losing. This is what it looks like. You scream ever louder to the choir. No one doubts Cruz's conservative bona fides, but he has a likeability factor problem, he's a back bench Senator who is familiar and liked by Conservative talk radio listeners and the right wing intelligencia but an unknown to Joe Bag Lunch. He comes across as another Newt Gingrich, a bright guy but a Washington animal. He is going to lose and handily. My Mom a 72 year old Democrat tried and true said she is voting for Trump. Her reason..."I like him, he says what's on his mind". Americans love candidness and Cruz is just too academic, too polished and yes comes off a little smug.
He opened up a strip club....Sister you need to stay away from the voting booth. You are the stereotypical, purist Cruz supporter
