Trump's campaign manager: 'Megyn Kelly is totally obsessed with Mr. Trump' (+ Cruz challenge)
Politico ^ | 1/27/16 | Nick Gass

Donald Trump's campaign manager gave no ground on Wednesday morning after a Fox News statement singled him out, suggesting that he threatened the network with "terrorizations" of debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly.

-snip-

Asked about Ted Cruz's call for a one-on-one debate before Monday's caucuses in Iowa, Lewandowski said the Texas senator's campaign was not the only one to reach out asking if they could participate in the Trump campaign's event for wounded warriors and veterans on Thursday night in Des Moines.

"Well, look, he's not the only one. We've had calls from many debates, from many of the candidates now, to say look, why would we participate in the Fox debate as well? I think what you're finding out, once again, you have the candidates reacting to the only true leader in this race, which is Donald Trump," Lewandowski claimed. "He leads, and all of a sudden everyone realizes that, hey, maybe it's not the best idea to be involved in these debates, maybe we should leave as well. So I had a number of calls yesterday with some of the other campaigns who said hey, can we come and join you in raising money for the Wounded Warriors and the veterans, because, you know, Fox isn't going to be fair to you, what makes them think they're going to be fair to us?"

As for whether more could bolt the Thursday night debate, Lewandowski demurred.

"Well, it's very possible," he said. "Obviously, they have to do what they think is best for their campaign, but they reached out to us proactively so they could be part of our debate, our event, which we're going to do on Thursday night in Des Moines, and so we'll see what happens."

A question for Trump supporters. Suppose Megyn Kelly had ambushed Barak Obama with some tough questions and then he refused to have anything to do with her. Would you be praising Obama for doing so? I suspect that you’d be condemning him as a coward who needs to man up. I would also suspect that you wouldn’t change your mind no matter how much it is argued that it is a conspiracy against him or that it is a strategic decision.

Why isn`t the HHHUUGGGEEE Tony Perkins endorsement for Cruz not on the front page?

Its obvious, anything this important for Cruz. is played down here.

Has he been interviewed by her. I guess not because he knows not to go into a set up.

Re: Kelly's tweet.

That's hubris of the highest order to telegraph that a MODERATOR intends to change the course of an election.

That tweet, alone and in isolation, is sufficient reason for Trump to boycott Fox news until she is removed.

"Skip the debate and be a spoiled brat like Trump."

I would think that Cruz supporters would be joyous that Trump is boycotting the debate. It provides Cruz with much more time and center stage to make his case without the shadow of Trump.

Why are Cruz supporters so upset that Trump won't be there?

"I’m also a bit pi$$ed about him using veterans as cover for his little side show. "

He's going to raise over $10mil for Wounded Warriors and you're pissed?

Google and Fox TV Invite Anti-Trump Muslim Advocate to Join Next GOP TV-Debate

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3389018/posts

Fox News and Google have invited three YouTube personalities to ask questions at the Jan. 28 GOP debate - including a Muslim advocate who describes Donald Trump as a bigot and who visually portrayed him as being in agreement with national socialist Adolf Hitler.

“We have a presidential candidate whose loudest message reeks of hatred and Islamophobia... turning on the news now is scary, and oftentimes, humiliating,” the Muslim woman, Nabela Noor, says in a December YouTube video.
**********************************
CRY ME A RIVER! Nabela’s feeling are hurt, sad, NOT.

Listen, lets ask all the victims in San Bernardino how they feel about inviting terrorists into our country, oh wait, we can’t ask most of those victims because THEY ARE DEAD. Murdered by a radical Muslim woman that came to this country to kill Americans.

So common sense tells me...if you can not properly check these people, they simply can not be here.

The debate is worthless, who wants to hear candidates with no chance, kasich, jeb, Paul, debate each other.

"He could come out unscathed"

Not likely.

Rubio has mastered the rapid fire format of these pseudo debates and left Cruz bleeding in the alley last time.

All the candidates and the mods will now dial in on Cruz.

I don't believe Fox will go out of their way to highlight Trump's absence and may be precluded from doing so by RNC rules.

They will likely hold the debate as if Trump never existed.

This format is nothing like a real collegiate debate and Cruz has shown he is far to long-winded and circumspect to compete effectively.

Rhetorical flourish and detailed, verbose responses do not serve him well. It's like bringing a Dr. Seuss book to a dog fight.

"And the answer is "not in a million years."

If Trump responded as said yes, would Cruz agree to debate in Toronto?

Does the RNC get paid? Do they make money on these debates? Answers a lot of questions if the debates are cash-cows for them.

Ouch. LOL. Trump might show up 5 minutes before it starts. Depends on the polling.

Doesn't have to be Megyn Kelly. Has Obama ever blackballed someone because he was asked tough questions? I don't recall him ever having a meltdown like Trump.

Ahhhhh, I see an opening. All the candidates agree to join the Wounded Warriors event and Trump joins the debate. A love fest.

Sad question, Obama does not do interviews with anyone he views as anti him or who will challenge him.

As far as Kelly goes, this is not an interview, it is a moderated debate among the candidates, not between the candidates and the moderators and the internet. At least that is the way it was billed.

At the end of the day who will I vote for? Which candidate has been unwaivering on immigration and trade issues?

It looks like Fox is about to lose and lose BIG! Hey Fox, I hope Megyn Kelly is worth it. She could have gracefully stepped aside but no. Then Ailes got stupid with that tweet and now we are where we are. I would be surprised if Ailes isn’t going to follow Kelly out the door soon.

Love that graphic.

Why would any Republican candidate let Google have any part in the debate? That is nuts!

All the candidates should leave and do their own debate online. Let Fox and all the other liberal networks die. Gee Trump is the only fighter in the bunch!

Yes, and I think Cruz could be hurt more because every candidate will go after him at debate. He could come out unscathed, but he will probably be hurt by it more than Trump.

Actually this will give all the other candidates the opportunity to attack Trump, but Trump won't be there to defend himself.
