We in Texas have scads of super-rich real estate investors, way bigger than DT, just minus the hubris.

Texans expect straight shooting; DT only takes weasel shots. He’s forever emotionally 13, wonder what happened that froze him and prevented maturation?

We ain’t going blue, don’t worry your pretty little head :)

“I will sit home in November if trump is the nominee”

“You will not be alone.”

Definitely will be sitting this one out, as well. My principles mean more to me than selling out to a liberal who thinks he is conservative.

No, I can’t promise that Trump, if elected, or anyone else if elected, would not become a fascist dictator.
It’s the Constitution that makes that promise.

Excellent. I can see the Cruz intellect and commitment to principles. I hope others can as well!

That's all? Now you really have me worried.

“I never ripped down the house. I decided I wouldn’t do that,” Trump remarked.

Notice the “I decided”. She defeated him in court. He’s not even capable of admitting that he lost even when the information is public record.

Obama could not build a back yard fence. He never ran a hot dog stand for profit. If you compare the two in ability to build things, I am afraid you are showing your naked bias against Trump.

It's the Constitution that makes that promise.

Sadly, Trump has already indicated he is on board with the idea of using unconstitutional executive actions a la Obama to bypass Congress if needed - but HE would use that power for GOOD. And many Trump supporters here on this forum have supported that idea, claiming that to save the Constitution, we need to have a president who will ignore the Constitution the way Obama has... So relying on the Constitution to keep a President Trump in check may not be effective.

How about this as the possible scenario:

Cruz is astute enough to gauge how fed up conservative Republicans are. He knew he had some blemishes to work through. So, he developed a friendly relationship with Trump while the others were hostile. And Cruz drafted off Trump's appeal

He assumed Trump would fail or get bored, and he, Cruz, would inherit Trump's support. But Trump didn't drop out, and Cruz had to break loose.

But Trump was ready with lots of research. Maybe he never totally trusted Cruz to begin with.

It's a different possible scenario from yours, for sure. But it explains how Cruz could be showing signs of becoming unhinged. (embracing Beck is unhinged)

Rush Limbaugh is closely examining the "Let's Make a Deal" attitude of Donald Trump (whom I've praised at Free Republic).

You should have heard Rush literally freak-out when a stalwart Trump supporter said that it would be OK if Donald Trump didn't keep his cornerstone campaign pledge to "Build The Mexico Wall".

Again, Rush Limbaugh was aghast.

I kinda was too.

I am looking forward to Donald Trump listing his MUST DO (at all costs) campaign promises.

Dittos for Ted Cruz.

We patriots CAN NOT BE SCREWED AGAIN by "Paul Ryan" GOPe campaign promises.

By anyone.

If all of them were thieves and liars, but you were honest would you go along to get along? Sorry, the Senate just gave away the store and lead the country down a path to destruction.

If you made friends to all these thieves and scoundrels it would speak volumes. He is hated because he brought up the fact that the Senators have no morals or principles. They did the opposite of what they campaign on.

And no, this comment has nothing to do Trump. If Cruz can not defeat Trump now he will lose the election anyway. If he wins by fighting back then he deserves the chance. The media and Dems are going to be more vicious and full of lies. He better learn how to fight back. Trump is giving him an education.

I’ll vote 3rd party in November, but the absolutely-no-trump vote grows.

In the meanwhile,

Cruz or lose. America.

Everyone who worked with him says he is a jerk?? That is a lie.. I just read the Townhall link, and this guy refutes that completely. Do you call winning 5 cases in front of the Supreme Court not getting anything done? If he can persuade a majority of Supreme Court justices to see things his way 5 times, I’d say that is getting things dome. His many accomplishments are documented all over the web. You just don’t want to know.

We need Cruz as President, and then we need to clean out the House and the Senate and get some serious people in there, and get this country back on the right track.
