Which would translate to probably $4-6/gal of gasoline. Too high.

No apologies needed but i cannot fathom your point. We also import from Mexico and Canada. This isn’t about the middle east. Its about a commodity.

Also, bring back Operation Wetback!

And, couple it with Operation Raghead!

More government regulations on private industry - BAD

Less government regulations on private industry - GOOD

Stop trying to use the government to pick the winners and losers.

Trying to make our refined products and petrochemicals the most expensive in the world is simply insane.

Banning imports is a lot worse than a $5/barrel import tariff which I bruited about a year ago . . .

People forget Saudi oil is light, sweet, easy to refine.

Wrong.

While most area have a variety of oils from their different fields, The major Saudi types are both higher in sulfur (sour) and heavier than WTI, LLS.

If tariffs are good for American business, then apply them equally to all goods. Don’t use the government to pick winners and losers in private industry.

We were already there. Gasoline here was about $4. I work(ed) in the oil industry, so I could afford it. Now, not so much at half that.
