They want to delay delay delay... until such time that they switch their argument to “can’t release now, wouldn’t want to overly impact the election”.
They want to present her nomination as a fait accompli, thus preventing prosecution.
Anyone who is targeted by the Feds after this should just declare their own political party, nominate themselves as president, and claim immunity from prosecution.
