In an article published on National Public Radio's (NPR) website Monday, a map of the Middle East failed to include Israel, labeling Palestine in its place. The map was an illustration accompanying the article "What Are You Afraid Of In 2016? Globetrotters Share Their Fears." The article referenced travelers' fears of Islamic radicalization and extremism in the region. Immediately following the publication, the website's comment section was flooded with criticism from readers and journalists who questioned the online publication's decision to use an illustration of this nature. As a result of the abundance of complaints, NPR removed the photo and issued an apology stating, "The map had a number of errors. The countries of Cyprus, Israel and Turkey were either not shown or not labeled; the label for "Palestine" should have read "Palestinian territories"; and Afghanistan and Pakistan were mistakenly included. NPR apologizes for these errors."
This is not the first time that media purveyors have wiped Israel off the map. In a 2016 CNN Money article, Israel was dropped from a map of the Middle East depicting turmoil in the province. On the map featured in the article, entitled "Beyond ISIS: 2016's scariest geopolitical hot spots," the name Palestina, Spanish or Portuguese for Palestine, stood in for Israel on the map.

Agreed...it was no mistake.
Yes, very calculated use of ISIL. I am certain that he is wishing for an Islamic Levant.
NPR labeling Israel Palestine seems like a stealth way of expressing a desire to see all Jews exterminated.
Who’s running NPR these days, some old house painter from Germany”
NPR (National Palestinian Radio)
...How ironic....and article on "What are you afraid of" in reference to Islam???....
.well to start your article on the subject just wiped a whole country off the map
No shi’ite!
Thanks be to God for always being the same.
Ooopsie~!!!
We did it AGAIN...!!
Socialists killed 6 million of them, yet today many Jews still support socialism in one form or another ...
Bet NPR says ISIL instead of ISIS to insult Israel even more.
As a Christian, Bible prophesy has amazed me and solidified my faith. I do not profess to know anything about when things will happen and I don’t pay much attention to all the prophetic and end time pronosticators.
But one astounding thing is that all prophecy points to all the end time upheaval being focused on Israel. The battles will take place in the ME, with their enemies coming after Israel.
With the resurgence of Islam after being laid low by the fall of the Ottoman Empire, based on nations named in Ezekiel, it looks like the main battles will be between Islam and Israel.
So what I find so amazing is with aaaaaaaaaall the hotspots and conflicts in the world, I mean looking over the whole planet, the Bible pinpoints a small non-aggressive nation as being the flashpoint for end times....Truly amazing.
What’s also amazing, is obviously the Muslim world is afraid of the “God of Israel.” They have Israel so outnumbered, so outgunned and so much venom, they should have been able to take out tiny Israel long ago. But every time they tried, even with signigicant numerical advantages in men and equipment, armies coming at Israel on all sides, they have always suffered defeat.
In most of the wars since 1963, had it not been for international intervention, especially Russia, Israel would would have much more land and some nations might not exist.
Yeah, and we all fell off the turnip truck yesterday...
