NPR illustrative photo wipes Israel off the map [Numbers 23]
Jerusalem Post ^ | 1/25/2016 | Staff

In an article published on National Public Radio's (NPR) website Monday, a map of the Middle East failed to include Israel, labeling Palestine in its place. The map was an illustration accompanying the article "What Are You Afraid Of In 2016? Globetrotters Share Their Fears." The article referenced travelers' fears of Islamic radicalization and extremism in the region. Immediately following the publication, the website's comment section was flooded with criticism from readers and journalists who questioned the online publication's decision to use an illustration of this nature. As a result of the abundance of complaints, NPR removed the photo and issued an apology stating, "The map had a number of errors. The countries of Cyprus, Israel and Turkey were either not shown or not labeled; the label for "Palestine" should have read "Palestinian territories"; and Afghanistan and Pakistan were mistakenly included. NPR apologizes for these errors."

This is not the first time that media purveyors have wiped Israel off the map. In a 2016 CNN Money article, Israel was dropped from a map of the Middle East depicting turmoil in the province. On the map featured in the article, entitled "Beyond ISIS: 2016's scariest geopolitical hot spots," the name Palestina, Spanish or Portuguese for Palestine, stood in for Israel on the map.

The Bible prophet Balaam was paid by the King of Moab (Modern Jordan) to curse the nation of Israel 3500 years ago. What he received was an astounding prophesy concerning the future of Israel. The God of Israel (and the Bible) showed Balaam that Israel would not be recognized among the nations. Today, freedom loving democratic Israel is not allowed to sit on any UN councils, while seats are reserved for stalwarts of freedom like Venezuela, Syria, and North Korea. In fact, since its inception, over 50 percent of the UN Resolutions have been passed as criticisms of Israel!?! It is no wonder however, since the UN is dominated by the Organization for Islamic Countries (OIC), or a President Obama calls them his "57 States". Who can curse what God has blessed? No one! Even though many Israelis are currently agnostics or atheists, the Bible says a large and faithful remnant will turn to their God (Zechariah 12) who brought them back from the sword (Ezekiel 38) to their homeland...not be removed, though the the entire world attempt to dislodge it...

Numbers 23:8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied? 9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. 10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die * the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

I occasionally listen to NPR when driving.

They are consistently anti-Israel. This was no mistake, only a little inside joke they undoubtedly found very funny.

Would be no surprise if PBS is infiltrated with Muslim Brotherhood lackeys just like the White House.

This brings to mind Obama during his 2012 DNC convention trying to get all the delegates to vote against God and against Israel.

That was huge and it was barely noticed.

And so is much of MSM except for Fox. Although Fox has been disappointing in its support for Rubio and other establishment types, at least those show I have watched have been pro Israel.

This is why Obola says ISIL instead of ISIS.

“L” stands for “Levant,” which is the Middle East absent Israel.

And yet many Jewish people contribute their time and money to those NPR begging drives. Madness.

So they’re not apologizing for omitting Israel. They’re apologizing for mislabeling the “palestinian territories” as “Palestine”.

Correct. And Fox is only marginally better.

Fox’s obvious preference is from least conservative to most: Christie, Rubio, then Trump, then even more distantly Cruz.

Trump is preferred over Cruz because they know Trump is really a moderate and just blowing smoke to trick people into voting for him.

This and similar developments have been noted on FR in past years.

Mostly from Eastern Europe.

Before that. A lot of them were thrown out of Judea by the Romans, but do liberals today claim that American Indians are not from North America? No, but they’ll say Jews belong in Europe because like Nazis, liberals don’t recognize them as people, with their own history that predates most countries today.

I’d say, more like Revelation 19 and 16. Boy, are they in for a surprise when they try to make it reality.
