You are correct of course but there are some memos that need to be refuted so they are not continually used. For example
Trump declared bankruptcies.

Most assume when that statement is made that it was the personal type that we are all aware of. In reality it was a corporate restructuring (google the term) it allows the company to lengthen time of payment and other methods to keep the company in business, employees paid till the company or economy can recover.

Yes it is litigated through “bankruptcy” court but is certainly not what most think. The banks often have less interest on loans but they still get their investment back.

I went over and read the sight. What a shameful place. Since when did conservative mean my way only and I’ll destroy anyone who doesn’t do things my way.

To take advantage of FR to do that is really very underhanded. I hope any of the posters there that are still reading here will see this and know what sorry, disgraceful people you are.

FR has given you a place to meet and discuss for years and this is the way you repay? What small, mean people you are.

“Actually they don’t say much about Ted or consistent conservatism. But they do consistently hate Trump and Trump supporters.”

YES. I notice that too. It’s filled with hate over there. They really need to examine themselves!

I agree!

Both will work but only one can win.

I sincerely hope you were tagging me on that because mrssmith was replying to me. I do not appreciate being tarred with whatever brush you are currently wielding. I have never called you any of the names you listed.

I could care less who are in your personal life. But if you post something that is factual incorrect about any Republican candidate I will continue to respond with the truth.

You are famous, you are consistently mentioned in their hate book.

There is always a good side to things!

Seems like some disgruntled somebody starts up an anti-Freeper site every Presidential election. Wide Awakes, True Blue something or other, there’s been one every time since I’ve been lurking.

Very interesting.

What’s even more interesting is the fact that they don’t say much about Cruz or conservatism, but they are spewing hate at Trump supporters. I don’t get it.

Cowardly Cruzers.
*******************************
I don’t think so. I believe it’s the supporters of candidates that have been CLAIMING to be Conservative, while their records show that isn’t true.

You know, people like Huckabee, Bush, Kasich, Santorem, Christi and Rubio.

I am not leaving. I’ve been on this site daily since... I’d have to go back and look when I joined. My last post was in 2006 until recently. The most recent debate concerning Trump and Cruz brought me back into the posting fray.

The differences between Trump and Cruz and the implications of supporting one or the other primarily are significant. It does seem that we have a split in what it means to live in a free republic and the debate is needed, even if it is heated.

I am firmly in the Cruz camp and will not vote in the primary for a populist/nationalist candidate as my first choice if a conservative is in the race. Leaving this forum is not the solution to this debate. We need to keep hashing it out even if it’s somewhat unpleasant.

I will support the eventual nominee but refuse to abandon the conservative cause that I have stood for my whole life.

Thank you Jim Robinson for this site. I will still lurk, troll, post or whatever anyone wants to call it as long as I’m allowed to be a member. I do think this current Trump/Cruz debate has exposed differences that I didn’t realize existed. I’m not happy that a lot of Freepers are now populists but let’s continue to debate on Freerepublic.

It’s not going to be pretty, but can remain firm and civil at the same time.

Thanks again Jim.
