Investigators don't know whether the customers or the owners started the shooting Saturday afternoon at McLemore Gun Shop near Picayune, and want to figure out just what happened before filing any charges, Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison told the Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1OFTOGr ).
He identified the owner and his son as Jason McLemore, 44, and Jacob McLemore, 17, WLOX-TV ... reported Sunday.
...
The McCools came to pick up a gun and got angry because there was a $25 service charge even though the gun had not been fixed, Allison told WJTV
Michael McCool, 29, allegedly shot both with a 40-caliber pistol, he told the station.
He said McCool was in intensive care at University Hospital in New Orleans, and his father, Andy McCool, 52, was at Forrest General Hospital in Mississippi.

I guess the McCools weren’t.
Hopefully there is security video that will illuminate everything.
no, not at all!!!
sounds like a scene from a bad western.
Two dead and two injured due to a dispute over $25 near a town named Picayune. Oh, the irony.
I actually lived in Picayune for a year and a half while my Dad was stationed in nearby Bay St. Louis.
People are so friggin’ ______. Went on a service call to fix a fridge. Checked it, needed a new defrost timer. Had one on the truck, a $28 part. The guy wanted to pay my call fee and go get the part and install it himself. Tried to tell the guy it’s gonna cost him the same for the same make part plus he’s gonna drive 20x2 miles to the appliance parts house but he insisted. WTF 1987... PS I hope he at least knew to take the model/serial# or the old timer along, heh.
Been buying appliance parts on line now. 1/4th the price. It’s a new world.
Huh...oh yeah, WaPo
hey, everybody hates hidden fees
Yeah, I’m so glad I can take care of all the repairs, etc. When I look at the prices repairmen/shops charge I want to pass out. How they can do it is beyond me, in the mid 80’s to 90’s I billed domestic appliance repairs @ $24/ hr, and commercial @ $28/hr. Now the sky’s the limit.
All 3 of my boys at one time or another worked for an appliance installer. They can fix most appliances. I have been doing it out of necessity for 40+ years. Now that I’m older, they do it with me and help with the heavy work.
Big money and time saver.....but I’m getting to the point of replacing units as they age. I can afford it more now.
I’ve always considered myself a DIY guy but I tried to stay away from appliances. We just last month replaced our gas clothes dryer and then our stove (the oven part) stopped working. It is also gas.
We I really didn’t want to buy a new one and figured that it was either a temperature sensor or the igniter. So I went on line, bough both parts , put them in and now my oven works great for about $70.00 in parts. There even were videos showing how to install the new parts.
I just thought it was amusing because the definition of “picayune” is “petty”.
Replaced both thermostat (once) and gas valve body(twice) and the drum belt and parts (once) on 2 gas dryers. Not to bad.
Wrong guys won the shootout this time. How sad. No further comment.

Store owner and son deceased.
Why is the Washington Post concerned about a local news item from Louisiana?
