I agree that Cruz should have stayed away from him! There were 2 other guys there - Barton and someone else (forgot the name) that some FReepers had some not so kindly things to say about them.

When I was reading the thread on that rally, some said his first 15 min or so were good and then he droned and rambled on for a long time 45 min+ perhaps. Beck sure has a high opinion of himself and likes to have his periodic 15 minutes of fame.

I didn’t see the swearing in, but read briefly about it. Sounds like Cruz may not have know it was coming (if he did, he should have said no way) and flubbed some of the lines.

I used to work from home on Fridays a few years back when Beck had his show on Fox. I’d take my lunch break at 2, so I could watch it. He used to have some decent shows - especially the ones where he’d use his magnetic board and connect the dots with ValJar, her communist father-in-law, Obummer, Michelle and others in Chicago - really opened my eyes. Haven’t paid much attention to him in the past few years, except to read that it seems like he may have gone off the deep end. He obviously absolutely hates Trump!

I never said anything and still have no idea, but I always thought his Valjar etc connections came from my writings here. He would pretty much cover what we talked about a month later. I am probably wrong, but it sure seemed coincidental at the time.

He was good for a while and then he would slip his Mormonism into the mix and turned lots of people off.

Cruz is going to pay a price for his appearance. The hour and a half speech was brutal.

We have a group locally here called the 9-12 Patriots.

You might remember that this group was started by Glen Beck, the concept being that everything changed the day after 9-11-01.

Everybody’s noticing how Beck has gone off the deep end; this sort of thing happens to one-trick ponies once their schtick becomes old.

Now the 9-12 Patriots, very active around these parts, just recently protested at Dover legislative hall over Planned Parenthood, now they are very wary about being associated with Beck and are thinking of re-forming another group.

Shame cause some really good people in that group but Beck’s now a nothing-burger embracing any stupid concept that will get him publicity.

Bah , humbug.

We may look back on a major turning point in the Iowa caucuses and thus, the nomination of Trump to the role that Glenn Beck played in both the National Review hit piece and the farce and fiasco of the Cruz/Glenn marriage rally. As smart as Ted truly is, it’s hard to fathom his decision to hook up with Beck. His knee jerk reaction to the Palin/ Trump rally may cost him the nomination.

The problem with glen Beck is that he is way over his head. He literally has more than he can handle and he winds up screwing up over and over.

His radio show could be nearly as good as Rush if that's all he did.Problem is its not the kind of show you can do part time and then leave it to the wannabess the rest of the time. That never works in talk radio.
