I’d say Trump represents that brash, making money New York values, and Bloomberg represents that nanny-state, we-know-whats-good-for-you New York values.

Palin has a large influence on the Tea Party still. The NR hit piece will likely add next week. What were they thinking and who do they think they are?

Friday they were begging their few subscribers left to stop cancelling. Serves them right.

I agree that Cruz should have stayed away from him! There were 2 other guys there - Barton and someone else (forgot the name) that some FReepers had some not so kindly things to say about them.

When I was reading the thread on that rally, some said his first 15 min or so were good and then he droned and rambled on for a long time 45 min+ perhaps. Beck sure has a high opinion of himself and likes to have his periodic 15 minutes of fame.

I didn’t see the swearing in, but read briefly about it. Sounds like Cruz may not have know it was coming (if he did, he should have said no way) and flubbed some of the lines.

I used to work from home on Fridays a few years back when Beck had his show on Fox. I’d take my lunch break at 2, so I could watch it. He used to have some decent shows - especially the ones where he’d use his magnetic board and connect the dots with ValJar, her communist father-in-law, Obummer, Michelle and others in Chicago - really opened my eyes. Haven’t paid much attention to him in the past few years, except to read that it seems like he may have gone off the deep end. He obviously absolutely hates Trump!

I saw it. They also had Darrell Hammond playing Trump calling her a nut, etc. I like spoofs and good comedy as well as the next person, but what I saw from the skit, I thought it was a bit over the top!

Do you realize how many ignorant voters even today still believe that Sarah actually said "I can see Russia from my front porch"? The power of the MSM is overwhelming, and the GOPe has never figured out how to circumvent it. Trump seems to have a leg up on this angle.

Ted Cruz is toast...no...Ted Cruz is burnt toast!!! First the latest CNN Iowa Caucus poll and, this morning, the Fox News Channel Iowa Caucus poll shows Ted Cruz bing slaughtered politically by Donald J. Trump in Iowa!!! The Cruz numbers will get worse as that “Jim Jones” performance given by “Insane” Glenn Beck & Ted Cruz last evening was a total flop & joke at the same time!!! Shucks....the crowd looked like a “Jim Jones” crowd, many sat with hands folded and did vcery little reaction at all, on way or the other....ready to drink the deadly Glenn Beck/Ted Cruz, “Kool Aid”!!! I cannot believe that Ted Cruz can be so dumb...as to hang his hat on lunatic, Glenn Beck!!! Go figure!!!

I figure, oil is formed by many thousands, even millions, of years of the decaying earth breaking down as done of a miniscule scale as in my compost pile, the oil forms and seeps down into the earth to become pockets of....well....oil.

I believe that whole scenario happens constantly on a massive scale in the oceans. Millions of tons of plankton and fish die and fall to the bottom and tons of pressure, maybe geothermal temperature and marine anerobic organisms do their magic and create the black ooze.

One of our resident oil men explained to me why they call oil a fossil fuel: because of the marine micro-fossils they find in their drillings where they find a pocket.

Most of the known production areas are former seabeds, and many still are. Additionally, any underground caverns or porosity may allow the petroleum to travel miles to locations under dry land, forced by the tons of water pressure of the depths.

I even wrote a song about it.

My biggest complaint about them is their utter hypocrisy.

Where were the “Leading Conservatives” when the Congress became Republican, promising to overturn Obamacare, to oppose him, to massively cut spending, to do the right thing? Why didn’t they write missives THEN?

And thinking about it, when Bush won in 2000, along with a Republican Senate AND House, why couldn’t we enact CONSERVATIVE legislation THEN? Remember Trent Lott “sharing power” with Tom Dashhole? What Queensberry Rules crap was THAT?

Where were the “Leading Conservatives” then? Where was the constant articles against such nonsense by National Review then? All they did then was spout neo-conservatism, and leading us into the awful trap of nation building, which was just continued by Obama in Egypt, Libya and Syria. And Bush and his party leaders were all pro-illegal amnesty, too.

When you think about Trump, you’ll realize that the ABANDONMENT of Conservatism by these “Leading Conservatives” caused the Trump phenomenon in the first place!

Great interview Sharyl is doing showing what a disaster our dealings with Iran have been. We gave the Iranian mullahs/terrorists 150 million to fund more terror and got nothing for it in return. They are more aggressive more belligerent made the US "not" safer.

Really good interview.

Iran takes advantege of U.S. stupidity.

I never said anything and still have no idea, but I always thought his Valjar etc connections came from my writings here. He would pretty much cover what we talked about a month later. I am probably wrong, but it sure seemed coincidental at the time.

He was good for a while and then he would slip his Mormonism into the mix and turned lots of people off.

Cruz is going to pay a price for his appearance. The hour and a half speech was brutal.

When dooneberg enters the race here is the final result:
Trump—51%
Hildabeast—34%
Dooneberg—15%

We win the losers lose.

Oh the crowd, looked like a funeral home. Yikes and compare it to Trump’s rallies. What was he thinking?

The whole week everyone was telling him to bail on Beck. You are begging for trouble. You may as well invite Savage to endorse you.

The Anchor Baby? Do you mean Rubio? LO—#@$#$@%—L!!!!

Yes!

He sits there all confident and articulate stating; "When I'm president". Wallace asked him about having two billionaires running against him.

He replied, "I love it that in this country you can have the son of a bartender and a maid running against a billionaire."

Wallace should have responded: "Yeah...if they're US Citizens. Never mind Cruz being eligible."

We have a group locally here called the 9-12 Patriots.

You might remember that this group was started by Glen Beck, the concept being that everything changed the day after 9-11-01.

Everybody’s noticing how Beck has gone off the deep end; this sort of thing happens to one-trick ponies once their schtick becomes old.

Now the 9-12 Patriots, very active around these parts, just recently protested at Dover legislative hall over Planned Parenthood, now they are very wary about being associated with Beck and are thinking of re-forming another group.

Shame cause some really good people in that group but Beck’s now a nothing-burger embracing any stupid concept that will get him publicity.

Bah , humbug.
