Every time I seen a clip of her on TV she was amazing. She had the interviewers in tears by the time she was done. Every word advance the Tea Party / conservative cause by leaps on bounds. And yes people can change, sometimes overnight. And maybe Obama’s destruction of the black community promoted the change.

I think she would be a great asset to the nominee whether it be Cruz or Trump. I lean Cruz but would vote Trump easily if he won. The battle between the two needs to be fought. So what if its brutal.

In the nominating process the battle is going to make a stronger candidate. And it doesn’t matter if both are stretching the truth in their attempt to destroy each. The Dems and Media are going to do far worse. Its politics and the only game in town.

These are only two choices. We need to learn to deal with it. May the best man win. When the dust is settled, we need to support the winner.

>>> With all the insults, lies, truths, half-truths, an innuendo being thrown around.....even just between Cruz and Trump.....it is impossible to research everything. I’ve got a job and a family to take care of. How does a guy choose? <<<

That’s pretty much where I am, too.

As we move toward the primaries it seems that exaggeration, hyperbole and outright lies have replaced reason and discourse to the point that it is no longer possible to winnow the truth from the nonsense.

So... I’m back to my usual fallback position: vote against whatever progressive, Marxist, race-baiting, culturally divisive, anti-american, open borders, commie pig asshat that the Democrats nominate when the elections get here.

Like most leaders, Malcolm X had a number of good and bad aspects, and he evolved over time. He was rescued from a life of crime, drugs, immorality, etc., by the Nation of Islam, but they were a racist Islamic cult led by a child molestor. He left the Nation when he saw the rot at the core of it and disavowed racism. But he still had a long ways to go, when members of that cult shot him for his apostasies.

But there is a core of his message which is relevant to what Katrina Pierson is doing now, and that was for blacks to get off the Democrat plantation, stop looking for the government to save you, “do for self”, focus on building individuals, families, businesses and institutions. etc. If you strip away the racist Islamic veneer (admittedly a pretty thick one) what Malcolm X represents to black people is pretty well aligned with a Republican/conservative viewpoint.

Bottom line: Malcolm X fought hard to warn blacks against the path they were taking with the Democrat Party and liberalism, and those warnings have turned out to be quite prescient. He had evolved past racism, and I like to think that he would’ve similarly evolved past Islamism, but the basic thrust of his message resonates with a conservative way of thinking.

Read the source provided for me in #10. Can’t see how those darn Cruzers can use her past against her.

You’re right; his racism softened when he met white Muslims in Mecca (he never knew they existed), and he realized blacks would have to help themselves instead of relying on the nanny-state - definitely a good message.

I wasn’t being sarcastic. I think it’s in people like Ms. Pierson where Trump can get a whole lot of votes, by inspiring them to want the US we crones and codgers grew up in to be resurrected.

I don’t think anyone on this site believes that Trump is an exception. We’ve been screwed too many times to be that naive. We’re just hopeful that he’ll stand tough. All the other candidates have been to “flexible” with their votes on critical issues.

Maybe it’s time to move away from government politicians and give that a try. Basically, I don’t think anyone would be surprised at anything a new president would do.

Let’s see, the guy who just recently endorsed Cruz, and who will be campaigning in Iowa with him did the following:

2011, denounced the TEA Party as a bunch of “racists” for supporting Gingrich over Romney.

July 2014, went to the border with Cruz and threw a welcome party for invaders, handing out soccer balls and teddy bears.

Sept 2015, denounced TEA Party members who support Trump as a bunch of “racists.”

January 2016, accused Trump of voting for 0bama, and supported it with a photoshopped tweet.

Who is this liar? none other than Glenn Beck.

Makes me wonder about Cruz’ judgment in associating himself with this type of nutjob.

I’m beginning to like the idea of Trump as “Chief of Personnel” for the federal government. Unless his candidacy is just a ‘uge snow job, I think it could work and if it does, HR departments throughout the private sector should follow his lead.

I don't think anyone on this site believes that Trump is an exception.

I must be misunderstanding all the comments that say, "I know he will (do everything he proposes which that poster favors)!"

The example also shows Trump is natural uniter, with knack for bringing together diverse folks toward common goal. ‘Making America great Agaian’ requires such unity of common purpose no matter what else someone may believe.

We need to find some radical Marxists to recruit to our side. In a couple of years they’ll mature into dependable Conservatives.

What a bunch of nonsense.
