Things would be so much nicer if she would just say “I still like Ted too”.

Just fascinating to read a thread where people imbue themeselves in cult-of-personality versus deeds-driven-idealism.

But more to the point, Palin has succeeded in either approach. She got the MSM to write her a check for $2 million for shooting a moose from a helicopter or whatever. I say, brilliant. Take their money and use it to create a better world.

It’s interesting that she named two people who are running for president and endorsed neither of them.

Maybe she thinks it's time to turn a bull loose in a china shop 'cause that's what it looks like we are about to get.

CULT OF PERSONALITY.
FReepers need to look it up and then do some serious contemplation and self-examination.

Apology joyfully extended, by all means, Reset!

Finny, where did you see me post on FR that I prefer any other announced candidate over Ted Cruz? You haven't because you couldn't; it doesn't exist. And yet, a quick check of my posting history reveals posts that I have stated clearly and repeatedly that Ted Cruz is the ONLY candidate I've supported financially.

I am very happy to remove you from the Trump First list! As you so astutely recognize, declining Trump does not necessarily mean embracing Cruz. At first I tried to keep it to Cruz supporters only (and could if I wanted to complicate it, but it's time consuming enough as it is). All I want to know is the truth for myself. Browsing through threads fails to present the whole picture in terms of individual voices. Most voices would prefer someone other than Trump, and most of them are okay with Cruz.

In a roundabout way, it's how you ended up on the wrong tally. I read in-forum a lot. I recognize the names of posters you repeatedly disagree with, and know them to be very staunch pro Cruz folks. I see enough of such posts, and stick you on the pro Trump tally. In politics, the old "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" or however that saying goes.

Primaries are not about Democrats. They're about Republican's chance to advance an agenda. So yes, it is a political war within the GOP. Big surprise, that.

I know where I stand with regard to my vote, and that's with my tagline. I was surprised at how many apparently agreed with me on essentially the same principle, in 2012, because it is how I voted (my mother, an active Republican who for the first time in 60-odd years of voting straight party ticket, declined to vote at the top of the ticket in 2012).

I did vote because I believe it is a moral duty to vote if one is informed, and I was informed. So I used my vote because I recognize the truth of my tagline. I could own a plurality for either leftist. It's the best I could do to weaken a bad thing: leftism.

So I am naturally watching Trump with some trepidation.

Actually, we have a daily caucus and the results are there for all to see. It’s pretty much a tie between Ted and DT.

That’s horrible news for Cruz. FR is about as far right of a website as you’re going to find. And Cruz is not winning overwhelmingly at FR? If he can’t win convincingly here, then he’s somehow going to win primaries in a much more centrist general population?

"That thread has 4,109 comments of praise for Ted Cruz"

That was before Ted started stabbing Americans in the back for his Wall Street owners.

With respect, the daily caucus represents brief snapshots in time. I am more interested in a cumulative tally of individual FReepers, and the only way to have one is to compile one ... oneself!

Irrational lemmings must make irrational accusations about an opponent that may be able to wreck their irrational chance at including all of America in their irrational leaping off the cliff their Pied Piper led them so eloquently toward.

No, actually we can see things with our own eyes.

Like many, Sarah was a heroin for us and we admired her strength at standing up against the dems, the MSM and the McLame idiots.

Still when you put emotion away the lady was pretty far beyond her capabilities from the start and as time went by and money came their way, the more in the public eye, many small but unhealthy things began to rear their heads in her household.

Now Poor Sarah is finding necessity to pander to a non-deserving because he may giver her a Sec. of Energy job.

Trump may indeed be able to beat hitlery or any dem, but in the end he still will do as he pleases with anything and conservative being something to negotiate.

Last few days, I have been responding to the mischievous rascals and careless liars on FR who have again bludgeoned members of the Palin family through posted misstatements, slander, libel, and general unruly nastiness toward Sarah Palin on FR.

Thank you for the apology. Many of the accusatory FReepers have vomited on my posts this week in my efforts to counter their flood of recent anti-Palin rants, re-rants, and re-re-rants against the Palins. Then, they’ve refrained from responding once they’ve been challenged with provable facts and certainly with nothing appearing to be conciliatory to me, as you have done.

I chose to take a recent sabbatical from posting on FR but felt the silence was worth breaking to challenge the un-FReeperlike posters who feel that FR now carries no importance to protect and provide truthful and factual information anymore. Perhaps these kiddies are right. Maybe true Constitutionally conservative Judeo-Christian values are no longer at home here on Free Republic. What a future that portends.

FR management again (as it did last July) is throwing the baby out with the bathwater (by punishing loyal long-time FReepers - by deleting entire threads containing the good and the bad), apparently judging that this lazy style of moderation is an acceptable loss to the website.

Finny, your current methodology of selecting FReeper usernames for this or that list is making your lists not useful. In my case, not reliable at all. Neither is a good deal of recent information regarding Sarah Palin posted on FR. This calls many if not all posted articles into question nowadays and I cannot provide the solution.

The Chamber of Commerce corporatist “Republicans” who despise conservatives— were always FOR obamaumaocare. Every corporation of any size were and are all for govt. healthcare to take over their expense for providing coverage. A simple look back to the coal mine owners, who created the various agencies leading up to the Mine Safety and Health Administration Agency which governs mine safety as well as the special healthcare system for miners— including distribution of black lung settlement benefits-— ALL of which was designed by the corporations as COST shifting.

National Healthcare is nothing different. And NO died in the wool RINO or Chamber of Commerce republican has EVER been against it— the system Mittens Romney designed in Massholechussetts the Welfare State.

Donald Trump— just like his daddy Fred, has tapped into multiple govt. subsidies and “deals” paid for by US, the taxpayers— and has supported govt. paid single payer healthcare on the UK nightmare model— the one Lord Monckton told us to NEVER enact as it is a disaster in the UK where the only good healthcare is had for cash under the table.

I mean— Bob Dole supports Trump and calls Cruz a RINO— like this idiot would know— since he supports Yebbie. To “get things done”— you betcha. Sarah Palin is along for the media ride— and she is on Trump’s payroll to be sure. We are being played— and allowing it to happen, because the GOP-e is just too GDmnd stupid.

This should be NO surprise to any conservative

Such lists are vitally useful if one wants to discern the actual prevailing opinion among individual FReepers, and on a few issues, I want to know where I stand and how many I stand with.

My eyes were opened in 2010, when a controversial topic heavily discussed here appeared as if the majority held one view, when in point of fact, only a little more than a third did -- but they posted more aggressively and prolifically. The more accurately you see the world around you, I figure, the better you'll be able to function in it.

Look, I am as disgusted with the personal insults and Palin attacks as you are. And for the life of me, I don't know why anyone would ever give Bristol Palin no more nevermind than Chelsea Clinton.

But we are in danger of electing an angry Republican to the White House who has a long and distinguished record of acting decidedly LEFT. The primaries are not a time to attack the Democrats.

FRiend, once upon a time, the primaries were mere formalities deciding who I would vote for in the general -- the Republican, of course.

Since 2008, the primaries have changed in significance for me. Now, they represent whether the Republican candidate is someone I'll vote for or spurn in the general. That is decided in the primary. I have a hunch there are a lot of folks like me -- there were more than I expected in 2012.

Finny, it did my heart well to see your response. Thank you. You probably don't have me on either list because I spend the vast majority of my time here reading. Several hours every day. My settings are such that in the morning I will take up right where I left off with new articles, not new posts. I don't miss much. Resettozero, thank for your support of Ted Cruz, the only constitutional conservative in this race, PERIOD!

I will defend Trump supporters because they are my friends. They're not constitutional conservatives. They don't know what that means. They don't know how many judges are on the Supreme Court, probably couldn't name the vice-president and damn sure don't know who the Speaker of the House is. Furthermore, they couldn't care less.

The Tea Party was started by Rick Santelli from the floor of the stock market in February of 2009. Those that cheered that day were not constitutional conservatives, they were just plain-old everyday hard working Americans that are sick of all the BS! That's the same people that still make up the Tea Party today. All of my ignorant (politically uneducated) friends will tell you in a heartbeat, "Damn straight I'm Tea Party!).

I've spent my entire adult life with these people. We are in the Oil&Gas/petrochemical/Pipeline & Station construction industries. These men and women are hard working, some are hard drinking, snot slinging, fist fighting, God-fearing Americans that are sick of the s**t! They hate lying, two-faced, backstabbing politicians. They hate baby killers. They hate porch monkeys of any color that leech off them. In other words, they hate liberals, PERIOD!

Thank you Finny for opening up this chance for me to get this off my chest. Damned straight I will some defend Trump supporters. My friends don't knock Ted Cruz. They love him as second choice. Nor do the few Cruz supporters I know knock Donald Trump. They love him as their second choice.

As for me and my house Finny, stick us in your Ted Cruz column. He is the only one we financially support. That will not change.

-Neil Elliott
