Haven’t listened to Rush, since he and Levin first started fighting CRuz’s fights, for him.
You’ve hit on all of the points - 1 through 4 - of why Trump supporters, like me, support Trump, though.
Why do I click these threads? It’s like rubber necking at a car accident.
The Republican election will be over in Iowa. You will know who is going to win before they even causes. You will here reports that the lines to causes are the largest they have ever seen. People waiting for hours to vote. Voting areas being overwhelmed. Game set match The Donald. All the talk show guys can start thinking about early retirement. Bye bye Rush,Sean and Mark see ya.

Donald has:
1) Given support to the Clintons
2) HAS espoused liberal crap
3) HAS been a democrat
4) HAS given money to politicians to get done what he wanted
He did this as a BUSINESSMAN. As a businessman, he had to work within the system for the betterment of his companies.
Now, how does his past square with where he is today?
Donald has shown he can get things done with people he finds objectionable and work with them to get what HE wants.
This is where Donald far surpasses Cruz. Cruz is so off-putting that his own people don’t like him.
Donald can get done what needs to be done. “The Art of the Deal”
I don’t hold Donald’s past against him, to me it shows that he can work with scum like the Clinton’s and get what he wants. This will be needed when he becomes president.
Ted “Not me real name” Cruz wouldn’t even be able to get his own party to agree with him. I like the fact that Ted has stood up to the phonies, but as President he wouldn’t be able to get anything done.
I WANT:
1) The wall
2) Stopping moo-slime scum from entering our country
3) America to be great again

After that, it should just be a series of mopping-up actions.
When the crowds turned out for Trump at the very beginning, I was non-plussed (get that--non-plussed. I am too educated to matter--but I can remember when I wasn't--when I still trusted the common man).
I always believed the common man was much smarter than the educated classes, but hadn't seen much of a demonstration of it since Obama came into office.
But Trump backers showed me.
It isn't about Trump and even Trump gets that. It is about the common sense of regular Americans. The workers, the tillers, those who sweat and labor...those whose brains are not filled with the chaff of the institutions of higher learning.
I still have not yet met a single trump fan IRL. Not one.
Bob Dole is definitely establishment but he might just see the writing on the wall and be encouraging his establishment buddies to get on board or be run over.
Great post. I would also add that :
1) Cruz is a senator and they make horrible presidents
2) Cruz is a lawyer and they always end up making more problems than solutions
And finally this connection to Goldman Sachs through his loans and through his wife is horrible. This company is pure evil. For the last 30 years with the exception of 2 the treasury secretaries have all come from Goldman Sachs including the various Fed governors. This connection to GS is absolutely a deal killer. GS destroys everything it gets its hands on.
The fact that his son went to a firing range does not suggest in any way Trump supports gun right. Most of the most anti-gun politicians have body guards with guns.
The professional sneering class hates it. But the fact is, if Trump has a 1% chance of seriously advancing on any conservative goals, the rest of the field has a 0% chance.
It’s the only rational play.
Do you see Mrs. Bill taking AR? I'm beginning to wonder if she will even sweep liberal Little Rock much less the state. She ought to go to Little Rock and try to mend fences because people there really deep down want her to win.
Bob Dull is an aging RINO, but he would probably so Elizabeth made him do it.

He’s saying what he thinks will win for him. I’m not even convinced he’s a nationalist. I don’t think we’ll find out what he really is until the election is over.
