Concur, and if he is successful, I expect a new generation of Republicans who do not follow the old pandering, apologetic model so evident among this season's other candidates.
That and also his willingness to own his political incorrectness are great gifts to future campaigns.
That makes more sense than all of the talking heads on Fox.

This is my example based on the Crusade: Who do you want leading you into battle against a jihad army? Someone who knows the bible inside and out but has never lead an army into combat or a knight with war skills but not the most holly of rollers?
Cruz is a lawyer - a smart lawyer - what has he built? Has he ever made payroll? Can he command an organization to follow his orders? Can he deal with congress? Dealing is not a bad thing - the Constitution forces deals and compromises.
