“Donnie is not a conservative. His supporters do not care.”

It’s very strange.

Trump supported abortion, illegals, Obamacare, Obama, Clinton, the Kelo decision, and basically everything repugnant to conservatives until he decided to run for office.

I am shocked at how stupid people are.

re: Trump's stupid comments about women

Trump will get more votes than any of the wannabees would. Most women aren't stupid. They can see how well Trump treats his children and grandchildren. They can Ivanka and other women highly regarded as successful in business. They hear how much respect he has for his wife's opinions. They saw him on Celebrity Apprentice as not being anti-female.

Most women aren't femnazis. We like alpha can-do men. And we know men say stupid stuff sometimes. It's in the DNA.

...he has zero chance of winning against Hillary since has absolutely no cross-over appeal or name recognition whatsoever.

Long ago I quit picking my candidate based on what the media, Democrats and Independents thought...

Fine. Keep supporting losers, if it makes you happy.

“The real goal is still to defeat the Democrats.”

Right. And Trump has been a New York Democrat until just recently. And he still acts like one. He is for single-payer health care. He says he’ll ship illegal aliens out and then bring them right back in with amnesty. He is for crony ethanol subsidies.

And he has taken to bearing false witness against conservative Ted Cruz.

The claim that Trump “can’t stand the Tea Party” in the title of the article tells you all you need to know about the author’s lack of integrity. In the article itself, you see Trump saying that the Tea Party has “a good point” because of the government’s waste of money, but that he does not march with them (a factual statement at that time). He didn’t say a single thing against the Tea Party in that interview, so the author of the article could only have chosen that title in order to dishonestly trick people into thinking worse of Trump. He defended the Tea Party but the author wants people to think the opposite. And that’s not even mentioning that saying Obama at the start of his term was a good “champion” of the country is hardly the same thing as saying “I love Obama.” What a piece of propaganda.

Fill in the blank:

+/- 17 years before becoming a prominent conservative and eventual Republican presidential candidate, ___________began his political career as a Democrat. He joined numerous political committees with a left-wing orientation, such as the American Veterans Committee. He fought against Republican-sponsored right-to-work legislation. He planned to lead an anti-nuke demonstration and only his employer's intervention prevented it. He was elected president of a large, famous union twice--a union which had known communists among its members. He appeared ONSTAGE to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate, who subsequently won. 19 years later, as a governor he signed into law a liberalization of abortion that led to an explosion of abortions in his state.

Almost 20 years later, as president, he signed a law that legalized all illegal immigrants who had arrived in the US during the first almost 200 years of the existence of our nation.

I'll fill in the blank for you: our greatest president of the 20th century, known as Ronaldus Magnus, RONALD REAGAN.

Why is the "men say stupid things" sometimes a valid excuse for Trump, but not for Romney?

In any case, just as some women, like you, are willing to overlook Trump's comments, others are not. My mom is a lifelong Republican who voted for Goldwater, and Trump's comments to Fiorina offended her to the point where she can't stand him.

Votes lost to no purpose.

If you think we need a nationalist, please study Herbert Hoover and the Smoot- Holley tariff act. The resemblances are striking.

What’s the old saying? Those that forget history are condemned to repeat it.

I urge all FReepers to look at this, no matter who you support. Look at Hoover’s background, a private business man, with a better resume than Trump frankly.

Smoot Holley tariff act? “Someone” said something about a large tariff on China?

Don’t take my word for it. Research this for yourselves.

So you think spreading slanderous falsehoods about the leading candidate and misrepresenting his positions is going to help your favorite candidate? Personally I don’t believe that you and many other people claiming to be behind Ted Cruz actually are. Ted Cruz is a smart and classy guy and I am certain that he would not approve of this type of BS. So shame on you for your troll like behavior.

...and you can keep supporting liberals who the media tricks you into thinking are "electable" and can get "cross-over voters", if it makes you happy.

Ah geesh...Trump SAID nice things about everyone. It’s called being a businessman and not wanting to burn bridges.
