Because Trump knows deals and makes deals. Trump will reach across the aisle.

Where have I heard that before.

Deals require compromise. Hasn’t the whole message of the Conservative movement for the last 16 years been not to compromise on anything ever? What deals does Trump plan to cut with the opposition?

Yup, that’s what we need, more deals in DC.

Trump is really starting to sound like the establishment. Probably made a deal with them.

Gridlock is a good thing.
I endorse gridlock.
I think the Founders made it intentionally difficult to pass legislation.
When Congress agrees on something and passes it, it is usually bad for We the People.

It’s not that Washington hasn’t been making deals, they have. The Democrats have been the winners though in every one of those deals. Trump wants to flip that.

Trump argued that "the problem with Washington, they don't make deals, it's all gridlock" and "I'll get everybody together. We'll make great deals for the country". . . .

Such as? How? Any specifics, Don?

I can't believe people fall for this bloviator's line of fluff.

If anyone thinks Trump is talking about the traditional status quo deal making they are wrong.

He’s been so unconventional and unpredictable, there is no way to make traditional status quo DC dealmaking on Donald.

00:43 is the kind of deal making Donald would do, it won’t be like anything we have seem from the DC elitists we are so used to.

Did he even take US History and Gov. The reason we have 3 branches and 1 of them split is to make sure sweeping change does not happen with out a GREAT deal of effort and the will of the the US People.. not because a carnival barker can get a “deal” done.

This vindictive clown Trump hasn’t a clue. But hey, more deals with the Democrats may be the way to Nirvana, right?

I agree. I believe the 17th Ammendment broke that part of the system. It remove the tension between the Federal and State governments.

There are many occasions when gridlock is a great thing, like when a blank check has been considered for Obama’s agenda. So Trump would “deal” with the LIEberals spending spree instead of standing firmly oposed to it. I have yet to see anything representative of a conservative approach from Trump or his cheer squad.

How do Republicans make deals, except by getting closer to the Marxist position?
