Donald Trump was on Fox and Friends this morning siding with the GOP establishment, suggesting that everybody in Washington hates Ted Cruz and that he is very unpopular there and because of that he won't be able to get 'deals done' as president:

Spin it any way you care to but the reality is that the trumpettes are being played. P.T. Barnum was correct.

Rubio is an anchor baby, like millions. Neither parent was a citizen. He was just born on American soil. Cruz had one citizen parent but was born abroad.

What role is the GOPe going to play here? Will they use that against us if Trump wins?

Somebody had better set things straight or we’ll be left with Jeb.

How about abolishing the laws we don’t like. Getting Conservative Justices and Judges through. There are some good things in DC that could get done without spending. Although Cruz wouldn’t be effective anyway.

It’s true.

Ted fights - but has he won?? That is the point. Some people don’t seem to understand deal making at all. If you call the person you have to work with a liar it’s not very conducive to actually accomplishing anything.

I thought it was great that Ted called McConnell a liar - but I don’t think for a second it helped Ted develop a working relationship with him or anyone else. If there is no working relationship there will be nothing accomplished.

Did you see this?

Ted Cruz’s Full Speech At South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention Today
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3384618/posts

There was even a pathetic hit on Trump’s age. Cruz is punching way above his level. He already just about got KOed in a “youth and inexperience” moment when he doubled down on his NY values statement at the debate.

Both Cruz’s and Trump’s speeches are on the link on that thread. I watched both. Ted’s hit parts are sad, and the crowd response is weak compared to Trump’s. Ted hit on Trump for WAY longer than the 35 seconds Trump talked about Ted. Trump was direct and factual, Ted was not.

Yep.... even Murdoch is now backing Trump. This election is and has always been about breaking the Washington cartel.. at least for me it has. Trump is not going to do that. He just wants to lead it.""""""...

It is becoming plainer now with every word and attack out of his mouth.

I had pains trying to back Trump, and it started a couple of weeks ago, something in my gut sensing something not right. I think the Trump cultism is what is troubling to me, not the people who back him, but TRUMPism himself, his ego knows no bounds and he will destroy anyone in his way, even when there is no need.

Trump your attack on Cruz.......swayed me. Total Cruz backer now....see you had no need to do that, not too smart after all are you?

Not listening to anymore of your rallies, I can say your words by heart now.........i.e. "Unbelievable x6", "we're gonna build that wall" x20, "get em outta here,x3", "I'm leading in Iowa" x5 and "I'm leading in (wherever) x5", "did I tell you about "Ford?", "not going to eat Oreos EVER again and neither should you"..... (and other filler tags.....) thank you honey, your beautiful (she's going to vote for me), "did I say unbelievable?".......

Literally 1 hour of listening to this crap over and over ad nauseam.........

TED CRUZ to the WHITE HOUSE.........

Trump has his way with them by scaring them.

He's talking about getting 'deals done' with Congress.

He's attacking Cruz for not getting along with Mitch and Paul.

You don't even need to connect any dots here.

And they’ll have their way with him by making a deal with the dealmaker.

Same here...

Back when we HAD conservative voters the answer to a conservative leader facing liberals in congress would be to replace/pressure the libs in congress.

Now we bail on actual change agents...assuming and accepting RINO entrenchment just like RINOs accept liberal ownership of DC

Congress being in a standstill isn’t such a bad thing. I would like to see smaller gov’t. Instead of making more laws and regulations, get rid of the unconstitutional ones currently on the books and enforce the constitutional one.

And how do you propose that Trump is going to persuade the uniparty to repeal any of those laws we don’t like? Do you think he’s even inclined to do so? Do you truly believe that Donald Trump is more likely to appoint conservatives to the federal bench than Ted Cruz?

“This is an exact repeat of the incident that caused Rush to issue Donald his now infamous warning... Coming at our candidates from the left...”

Cruz rolls out a 17 year old interview of Trump, much to the delight of Mark Levin.

Trump says such-and-such about Cruz, and if it is framed as an attack from the left, he is supposed to be crushed by Limbaugh.

It is simply a fact that Cruz is unpopular with what he calls the “Washington Cartel.” None of his fellow senators are rushing to the defense of Cruz.

What I believe is that Trump will be able to get conservative to the Court. Cruz will appoint but they will never pass. The will languish with nothing done.
