Donald Trump Ramps up Attacks on Ted Cruz, Says 'He's a Nasty Guy'
ABC News ^ | Jan 17, 2016 | JOHN SANTUCCI

...

"I don't think Ted Cruz has a great chance, to be honest with you," Trump told ABCNews Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an interview on "This Week" Sunday. "Look, the truth is, he's a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean, I knew it. I was watching. I kept saying, 'Come on Ted. Let's go, okay.' But he's a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He's a very -- he's got an edge that's not good. You can't make deals with people like that and it's not a good thing. It's not a good thing for the country. Very nasty guy."

...

Campaigning Saturday afternoon in South Carolina, Cruz did not hold back when it came to his "friend" Donald Trump.

"It seems Donald has a lot of nervous energy -- it seems Donald doesn't react well when he's going down in the polls," Cruz said. "You know in terms of a commander in chief, I think we ought to have someone who isn't springing out of bed and tweeting in response to the latest polls. Stable and steady and a calm hand to keep this country safe." Trump sent a series of tweets aimed at Cruz early Saturday morning.

...

Stephanopoulos told Trump that some legal scholars have suggested Trump himself would have standing to sue Cruz.

"Oh, that's an interesting case. Wow, that sounds like a very good case. I'd do the public a big favor," Trump responded, but he would not say whether he'd actually file such a suit. "It's a good idea-- maybe I'll talk to them about it. I'd like to talk to Ted about it, see how he'd feel about it. 'Cause you know, when I file suits, I file real suits."

I believe you meant to post that to someone else as I never mentioned attendance at rallies...? Nor have any of my post in this been about the race.

I think the loans are what will get him. So much for the Washington Cartel. He’s part of it.

You may be right. Although the “That Face” line was very childish. And Trump really shouldn’t be one making fun of others looks. You know?

It was her persona, lol.

She proved that in spades in the following debates. Just generally bitchy and her face proves it.

Trump is a smart guy. Very smart.

Yes the loans are a legitimate problem.

I have to agree AND disagree.
She certainly proved how not prepared she is to run a 7/11 much less be a president.

That being said, drawing an opinion by saying someone is ugly and can’t run for a particular office based on looks... Very, very childish.

Carly Fiorina was a failed CEO who ran on the basis of having a vagina. The anti-Hillary. She deserved being called out.

But that is JMO...

Oh Trump.... Showing your real personality.

All this, “He’s a good guy!” stuff is great until you’ve been poked. Then it suddenly reverts back to grade school attacks. “Nobody likes you! Blah Blah Blah”. Funny the first few times but annoying now. Just like the grade school bully. One very positive thing with trump, he sure is consistent. You absolutely know what he is going to do next.

Trump has shown himself to be a thin-skinned narcissist. It would be dangerous to have a commander in chief with that temperament.

I agree that she deserves to be called out on her past. I wouldn’t want a failed business person running my country.

Again, as far as looks go, that should never be brought up. And it’s sort of pot calling kettle when it comes to Trump.

I respect your opinion though. You actually know how to... Discuss, without taking it to a low level.

The fact that he took out loans against his own account? That he is waiting on a response from the FEC to see if they even need to be disclosed or that there will be an amended filing if they are? Devastating. Just devastating.

Thanks. It helps not to be too emotionally invested in the process.

The Cruzites are in rare form lately. That is for sure.

Sounds a lot like Hillary saying that her email wasn’t classified at the time.

He’s being cagey on this. Money is the root of all evil, you know.

Then what does that say about Trump?

He’s not taking money from special interests like Ted. The point being that money is the mother’s milk of politics. Those who suckle at the teat are owned by the teat.

Which is what Trump has said all along. And he is exactly right.

Now about Ted’s questionable loans and that Washington Cartel....

Really? ...How would you like to have been that guy that screwed up Trump's microphone this week?

The unstable Trump would have pounded him with the damn thing if he could have.

Trump reminds me of John MeCain with his angry temper.

He was whining in the media, telling trusting Texas voters that that he and his faithful little wife were having to liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

Document this with direct quotes, using actual Ted Cruz words.

And this isn't the first time I've asked you this. And I will look for your answer.

I'd like to talk to Ted about it, see how he'd feel about it. 'Cause you know, when I file suits, I file real suits.

Poor, Ted. I bet Trump has it written down in stone before he ever mentions something casually.

Ted, ol' boy? If a person or people talked you and your ego into running for POTUS, you first need to cut yourself loose, then see if you can get back what you've lost listening to and following their advice.

It this has all been your idea and plan? Oh well...my mistake. I guess I have misjudged you.
