Right now socialist New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is conducting a one man Jihad against Donald Trump, but the fact is, before Trump decided to run for President, Trump was a big fan.
Yes, even when it was known that de Blasio was a committed socialist, with a long record of being on the extreme left, Trump was a fan. "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor", Trump said. "Maybe a very good mayor and I don't think he's going to want to kill the golden goose."
His positive words, spoken before the election when a Republican was on the ballot, went on. "I think heâs a smart guy that knows whatâs going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York. I think he is going to want to make New York great."
Nobody who's anything close to a conservative had this opinion of Bill de Blasio. The only question was would he be as bad as David Dinkins, or would he somehow be worse? Rush Limbaugh called de Blasio out right away.

Why thank you. You are ever so kind.
“but is Trump that good of an orator that he makes people swoon in their chairs.
sounds like it.”
Actually he is. You should have heard Trump reading the lyrics to the song “The Snake” last week. He did it beautifully. The inflection all in the right places, no monotone, appropriate hand gestures to go along with it; perfect tone of voice; totally held one’s interest. It was a thing of beauty, lol. That’s the Celt in him (being half Scottish). The Celts are great storytellers, as is Trump. He’s really good at it.
I must watch one. I am curious.
Thank you for pointing that out.
I have tried to keep an open mind about Trump, give him the benefit of the doubt over various things, but I there are too many things that bother me. Trump seems to be a pragmatist with no philosophical foundation. While this is better than the socialist idealogue we now have, mere pragmatism is not enough to turn things around. He rightly speaks to people’s frustrations. But I have had a few dealings with people who talk a good talk and promise all sorts of things - I feel like Trump is trying to manipulate me. He openly brags about buying politicians. I think he is trying to buy the American people.
I have a few issues with Cruz but he does have a good track record. I don’t understand those who will pick apart relatively minor things about Cruz and yet rationalize bigger issues about Trump. Cruz seems to project who he is while Trump projects a persona.
"When someone announces as a Republican candidate for president, suddenly they agree with the values of everyone in this room," Cruz said. "If they haven't been willing to stand and lead, you can know to an absolute fact they wouldn't do so as president either."
“He plays the game only to further his business interests. He could decide heâs wealthy enough at any point but no, he praises a communist mayor that will make many peoples lives much worse, ask the police, and he did it for one reason only - to further his personal wealth.”
Trump’s 3 oldest children are now running the family business and that business still centers in NYC and they still have to co-exist somehow with de Blasio, and that won’t be easy as he is out to get them and Trump business-wise, as it is.
What will stop de Blasio up short is when Trump is President. Then the worm will turn and de Blasio will have to be looking over his shoulder, not Trump. I suspect that Trump actually HATES de Blasio with a passion, and whose, if Trump wins, goose is about to be cooked.
I agree especially with your last comment. The similarities are disturbing to me.
My biggest issue with Cruz was immigration. I think there’s a good chance that lesson has been learned.
Tell yourself whatever makes you feel better.
“Tell yourself whatever makes you feel better.”
Actually, I feel fine. And you?
Someone who is not bright enough to have seen Obama for what he was back in 2008 should never be President.

Of course you feel fine. I never doubted it. You tell yourself what you want to hear.
All that works fine until reality interrupts.
Well, ya...
Pretty amazing isn’t it.
Trump supporters here have gone full Clinton. “That’s old news, move on”...
I can handle no snow quite well.
And that is precisely the point, we have no way of knowing what Trumpism means. Some who are fools discount his biography, his associations, his Democrat party affiliation, his attachment to leftist policies that are anathema to conservatives like live birth abortions, his boorishness, his bankruptcies, his flip-flopping, his divorces, his pathological narcissism, his indecent cruelty and unaccountably choose to believe his protestations that all these flaws of character will somehow lose their grip on him and he will walk into the sunny uplands of conservatism as an honest and decent man.
To those who resort to the Saul Alinsky propaganda techniques of relativism to justify the sins of Donald Trump, to those who declare the Trump is innocent because so far he has only bought politicians but not yet sold out, I say there is no honor among thieves, there is no epiphany in the life of Donald Trump, there is no reason to believe that a dishonorable man has somehow found honor. A man who pays money to those who hold office for corrupt advantage will spend the public's money corruptly when he gains office to increase his power. A man who is a narcissist requires a profound spiritual epiphany of which Donald Trump evidences no signs whatsoever.
He was simply encouraging a rowdy player by directed counsel. Marvin Lewis does it all the time with the Bengals questionables. You know they’re rowdy. You try to direct their actions with positive talk instead of criticism because you know you are stuck with them. Trump knew blasio was going to win. His sources had said it was going to happen.
Uhm, "forrest for the trees" moment; why has he chosen to run against everything he previously espoused?
But she wasn’t natural born.
I’m waiting for Trump to explain his flip flops.
I accept he is now pro-life. He explained that.
