Trump has donated to Clinton, Daschle (Democratic Senate Majority Leader), Ted Kennedy, Schumer (Gang of 8), Gillibrand (of assault weapons ban fame) and a number of other Democrats.

He did that because he wanted to fix what was wrong with America. /s

Has he ever given even a nickel to any pro-life organization or unwavering pro-life candidate?

I will support either. Neither Cruz nor Trump has gone in any gutter. A political campaign is about pointing out your opponent’s weaknesses versus your strengths. They both are doing that. And to be honest with you, it seems to be pretty tame standard stuff.

Trump sees and understands what is wrong with the country. He is willing to put his life on hold to try and fix it.

You don't think Cruz is in that category?

Cruz has a proven record of being a solid conservative. Trump has a lifetime history of supporting democrats with his money.

Now give me a clear example of Trump actually promoting conservative issues before he decided to run for President as a so-called conservative?

Money talks. And if Donald Trump's money talks, then Donald Trump is a lifelong liberal democrat.

Until June of last year, Trump was a businessman, trying to get along with all of our crooked politicians. You have overlooked the fact that he has donated more to republicans and supported McCain and Romney but I would expect that from you.

Yes, his actions speak louder than words. He has turned his companies and his brand over to his children to do this. He is financing this himself instead of selling out to the highest bidder. He is crossing this country daily to talk to people.

He understands that the biggest problem we face is illegal immigration, something no one else wants to touch. He knows the economy is tanking, that our trade is out of balance, that no one has jobs.

But if it makes you feel better, you just hang in there with the politicians who are promising to stop abortion (how since a president can’t do that) or gay rights (oh, again, how)or abolish the IRS. Now, you are being sold a bill of goods or are planning on electing a dictator because in this country that’s not possible.

Trump and Cruz are going to self-destruct. If Trump gets the nomination, the GOP will pull support and backdoor support hillary or bernie. If Cruz gets the nomination, the GOP will initiate a media blackout on him, and hammer him to death with the citizenship issue.

The GOP isn’t screwing around. They’ve made it clear who they want in the oval office, and if that person doesn’t land there, then it’s full-tilt scorched earth.

This NBC stuff seems to miss the point. FWIW, I think he probably passes the Constitutional test, but I’ll let others who deeply care about it fight that out.

What about the common sense test?

Cruz has to have known that he was a dual national for quite some time. Why did he not get around to renouncing his Canadian citizenship until a little over a year ago? Was he worried that there would be a travel ban to Canada? Trade embargoes on Molsen ale?

Bad as this NBC stuff might look now, how bad is it going to look if a copy of a Canadian passport shows up? This is undeniably a very smart guy. What was he thinking?

He tells the truth, he exposes the truth.

I can’t sit on the fence anymore. Sorry. This is too important to me.

Donald Trump cannot be trusted on moral issues. Cruz can.

Donald Trump’s credentials as a conservative are probably worse than Romney’s and certainly worse than Guliani.

This forum has become divided in a way that I have never seen before. It is time to take a stand. Ted Cruz took a stand for me when he stood up for 24 hours trying to stop Obamacare. He espouses religious freedom more than any other candidate. He is certain to appoint pro-life and pro-gun and pro-liberty judges if given the opportunity.

Trump? A complete unknown, but the only candidate in the race to have contributed to Hillary Clinton’s senate and presidential campaigns.

Cruz has a solid record of being a politician. He says he has a record of being a solid conservative - what is it?

When he was lied to? When he voted for and then against? When he has a million excuses for every action that belies his “conservative” position? When he forgot to tell Texas he was a dual citizen?

When he told them he liquidated all of his assets to run instead of telling them that he took out large loans one with his wife’s company? When one of them was a signature loan backed up with no collateral?

When he trolls for and accepts money from gay businessmen? When his largest PAC donor owes billions of dollars in back taxes and needs a president to get him out of it?

I agree with you. I went to see Trump in OKC. I like the things he was saying... but at the end of the day.... you can’t trust him with the past he has.

Until June of last year, Trump was a businessman, trying to get along with all of our crooked politicians.

By greasing their palms and making sure that those who didn't grease their palms didn't get the deals that Trump was getting.

In my world when you grease a politician's hand, the grime gets all over you.

Trump is a slimy weasel who made billions by greasing politician's palms.

And you think that is a virtue?

What the Hell happened to this forum?

I support Trump for several reasons.

1) He’s most qualified to get us out of this economic mess, wants to put America first. These political sellouts have come up with lopsided trade deals that are killing us.

2) He’s the only one with a proven record of taking on the establishment and media and winning. It’s the world against Trump and he stands there totally alone yet wins. That gives me hope of breaking up the cabal.

3) He’s pro-military, pro-life, and go-to-the-mat pro 2nd Amendment.

I truly believe Trump is our last chance to fix this country. Another politician, any politician will either be defeated by the left and their media or be one of them. Trump has his flaws but I think that his kids and grandkids have given him perspective on some things, freedom being one of them.

Oh and he wants to seal the border, really seal the border. He wants to immediately deport gangs and drug dealers, enforce e-verify, and clamp down on employers skirting the law. If he only did that much, we’d be 1,000 times better off. I think he’ll do that because most big money guys are pro-amnesty and I believe that’s what’s kept us from doing it sooner. Not a problem for Trump.

That’s why I support Trump. Thanks for being civil and asking.

...” did he borrow unreported loans from [Canadian] banks?”...

‘Has God not said you may eat”...just raced thru my head......Trumps using a very old tactic the enemy of God uses to create doubt.

I don't know what's going on with Trump....except he's very much afraid of the emotions he's feelings which mean he know he could very well lose in Iowa.....the man cannot handle loss. ...even the smell of it.....this is why he's striking out because he does get “relief” from those emotions........classic Narcissist we're watching.

Remember they ‘feel’ far more deeply then normal people do....so Trumps really got a ache within he's trying hard to fix.

Has he given a nickel of his 10 billion dollars to any pro-life group?

Problem is Cruz can’t win once people know he’s a Canadian at birth. Look at the Reuters poll that came out a few days ago. Only 46 % of the voting public are sure he qualifies.
