Cruz Releases Video Of Trump Talking New York Values And Partial Birth Abortion Support
Redstate ^ | 1/16/2016 | Jay Caruso

Ted Cruz has taken more heat for his comments about “New York values” than he has anything else he has said since he was elected in 2012. Naturally, since most of the mainstream media is based out of New York, it has been high horse riding time as so many have gotten their panties in a wad over the comments. Ironically, they take more offense at what Cruz said than in Donald Trump’s blatant birtherism. Being a birther is cool now that it’s not Barack Obama who is the subject of Trump’s comments.

Unfortunately for Trump, who deftly (but at the same time shamelessly) evoked 9/11 as a means of responding to Ted Cruz’s comments, he cannot escape the very things he has said over the course of the last 15 years. Trump, as I have said on prior occasions is a charlatan. He is not a conservative at all. He is not now and never has been one. Outside of immigration (which is far more based on phony populism than policy), his views on taxes, healthcare, foreign policy and trade carry all the hallmarks of a progressive Democrat.

Tell me Steve, where is the common ground between the freedom lovers clinging to their guns and religion and the secular left clinging to gun confiscation, the elimination of religion and banishment of anybody who disagrees with them?

It really is bewildering. So many FReepers misrepresenting Ted Cruz, and so wholeheartedly supporting The Donald.

There are a lot of conservatives who live in New York, and Cruz threw them under the bus.

It was a snarky and ugly attack, not all of us are commie rat bastards.

I am not taking bait in a contest between Trump and Cruz.

You read what I said - what else do you want? I am hoping, yes hoping, for that is all we
voters have, that the best man emerges. At this point, again I say to you, I think Trump to
better man for this time, but I support Cruz as well.

Truth should change minds. But in the case of die-hard Trump fans, truth is irrelevant. The cult of personality is very strong with Trump fanbois.

“..trump has voted for almost every politician and policy that has screwed us in the last 30 years.”

Trump has never held office, so he has not voted on anything. He has certainly contributed to Democrats and Republicans, but that is not voting as, say, Cruz voting for TPA and the Corker bill, or calling for drastic increase in H-1B visas, or calling for legalization of illegals, etc.

—I noticed the number of comments at redstate are still nearly zilch; erick erickson banned so many people for criticizing him there’s practically no one left to post comments, and it’s such a lame, RINO, GOPe-shill propaganda website it wasn’t worth the effort for anyone to obtain another login id. Fundamentally, you’re only allowed to comment there if you agree with them or only very mildly disagree.—

Yep, it’s moderators run the place like the Gestapo. Post in favor of Rubio or Cruz or you’re shown the door. Been there done that. Banned a few days ago.

For Cruz to turn this around he’s going to need Rush, Hannity, and Levin to turn on Trump 100% starting next week. Levin may do it, but Rush and Hannity are personal friends with Trump and love their ratings more than Ted Cruz.

Very close to true....I wrote an article MONTHS ago - one in Breitbart and one in American Thinker....similar articles....that the only way a conservative gets the nomination is by winning the "Limbaugh Levin Drudge Breitbart Hannity Beck talk radio" primary....that is to say.....be the candidate who gets the most love over all from those outlets.

Clearly that has been Trump to date....over all. But clearly, over 20-30 years of knowing what Rush and Levin and Hannity stand for....Cruz is the most common sense place they would land.

Now you're right, so far only Levin has been grown enough to put personal friendship aside and be reasonable. Rush is still the fat kid from high school desperate to sit at the cool kids table....which is why he was SLOOOOW to understand Karl Rove and W Bush. As big as he is, his head is still turned by celebrity.

I read an article today on Trump’s last financial report that said he had put $ 100,000 of his own money into the campaign as a loan. His money is all being reimbursed by campaign donations. In addition over $ 773,000 had been paid by the campaign to his aviation company.

Trump is running as a Conservative,

Is there a lifetime of deeds to match his words? Or is he all mouth?

He's running as a conservative but he has a lifetime record of running from Conervatives.

Did Ted Cruz ever donate to Hillary Clinton's campaigns?

It was great. Cruz is a wordsmith and has the delivery to go with it. But he has also proven as a Senator that it is not just words. He will deliver.

It’s simple. Their actions show they prefer a moderate (at best) over a conservative. in 12 they did the same to eliminate every remotely conservative candidate and got the man they wanted. Mitt Romney.

Clear as day. History is what it is. They can scream all they want but it’s all there for anyone to see. Every FR straw poll shows Ted being the choice. But they do everything they can to not only tank him, but destroy him.

he has voted as a citizen and donated money to some of the worst liberal politicians ever.....don’t be so fkn stupid as to deny that. he has also publicy put his bully pulpit behind TARP, Stimulus, Obama Care, all the bail outs.....

He doesn’t get a pass on his previous positions simply because he wasn’t in Congress. He gave his money and his name to some really stinky people and causes. It’s just absurd to give him a pass.

So casting a vote isn’t really casting a vote? Weird.

Please don’t “vote” any time soon, particularly in the upcoming primary.

Not looking for a fight, just asking a question. Sarah Palin is one of my favorite people. She's got a lot of good old-fashioned, small-town common sense.

And she has said many good things about Trump, nothing negative that I can see. Would Palin act that way if Trump was a fraud? Is Palin just missing something?

then you’re not as smart as Cruz gave you credit for. If you are a NY conservative, and you don’t know what he means, you should just go ahead and join occupy wall street and vote Bernie Sanders.

Seriously, you new yorkers are the most thin skinned insecure whiny ass babies I’ve ever seen. I’ll proudly admit that my hometown has gone to hell politically, because I’m secure enough in who I am to do so.

Obviously you aren’t there yet.

I cannot stand Planned Parenthood, it’s a sin with my God, but the thing that is important here, is it’s the right of the Woman and her God to determine this....

It’s no different than a drunk driver killing someone;

It’s no different than a robber killing the clerk after stealing the money;

It’s no different than a person killing a civilian or a police officer with a gun....

It’s not right, but it’s up to the woman and her God to decide, not you or me....unless you have walked a mile in her shoes...

LIVE BY THE LAWS AMERICA WAS FOUNDED UPON

GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
