Indians view themselves as minorities and separate from the white majority which can appear pretty inaccurate with the higher caste

Yes they are enterprising but my business experience with them is mixed leaning towards not great
I do think on average the Sikhs acquit themselves better here than the average Indian but I don’t mythologize them like many freepers do
There are two conditions that immigrants should meet in order to be welcome in the US. The first is economic self-sufficiency and advancement. The second is cultural assimilation.
Unlike most other Third World immigrants, Indians do quite well on the first point: the children of indigent immigrants wind up business owners, engineers, doctors, etc (as opposed to the kids of Mexican immigrants, who often grow up to be gang members or perpetual food stamp recipients). Unfortunately, they're not much better than most other Third World immigrants when it comes to cultural assimilation. Waving around anecdotal cases like Bobby Jindal as evidence to the contrary doesn't prove much - Jindal stands out because he's the exception to the rule. I'm not convinced that Nikki Haley, with her love of multiculturalism, is an exception either.
