Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush’s campaign on Wednesday will begin airing a new television ad based on a personal story Bush told at a town hall meeting in Dover last week.
It was the story of the problems faced by his daughter, Noelle, who has suffered from drug addiction.
The 60-second ad, provided exclusively to WMUR.com, is part of a $4.6 million buy for the final weeks of the campaign, announced in September.

Politicians do things like that to show all of us how “human” they are. Not that they really think they are humans like us, the little people, if they really think they are human at all. Evidently they don’t think they are human, or they would not go out of the way to try and convince us that they are. They are elites, thank you.
Watched the ad, it’s terrible and completely incoherent.
The transition from “My daughter was a drug addict” to “I am a leader” was nonexistent. I’m completely dumbfounded why the story about the drug addiction mattered to the narrative at all. Except as a very desperate attempt to manipulate audience sympathy.

Bringing up your daughter’s drug problems? Why????? I can only think of one possible reason: to “connect” with voters. To make it seem like you are a normal guy. Not just a rich guy from a rich family, born with that Ann Richards silver spoon. It is deplorable. And obviously his statements were planned. Makes it even more deplorable. This is the man the GOPe wants to be president?????????? Heaven help us.
