I’ll catch flack for saying this but if this was to be maybe we should have gave Germany to the Soviets after WWII, just maybe when they got their freedom decades later they would be like Poland, maybe.

Nope. We should have let Hitler win in Russia and get so far extended to the east that we would take Berlin before he could get his army back. Instead we gave half of Europe to the communists who raised the likes of Merkel.
