Most people don't need the government teaching them how to raise their children. New parents will have lots of questions, but they can talk to their relatives and friends and post questions in parenting forums.

So. I’m guessing he’ll release some kind of statement soon that his admonition certainly didn’t refer to Muslim invaders in his country. Only to those racist Homeland Brits who raise Christian children who don’t comply with subjugation by Muslims.

Well, now I’m confused.

We’ve been told for years that parenting was passe and that government schools would undertake the task of socializing and educating children.

Just an FYI.....in Britain the young parents that I know do not much discipline their child. I think they believe discipline will hamper the child's creativity. Maybe some suggestions , not necessarily from Government, would guide British children better than the politically correct parents of this generation.

People learn how to be parents ( or not be parents) from their own parents and their parents before them

govt bureaucrats know how to raise kids like fish know how to ride bicycles

Maybe govt ought to stop enabling destructive behaviors like illegitimacy and fatherless homes

Citizens should be taught to properly control their elected representatives first.

As a point of discussion, consider that many young parents these days may have little personal knowledge of how discipline should work - they may have never received any effective discipline while growing up.

The idea of offering such instruction is not repugnant. But to make it mandatory, and to make it government administered are absolutely unacceptable.

Now, being that this is in the UK, also consider that a major source of issues happens to come from adherents of a certain religion whose standards for behavior are somewhat askew from western civilized behavior.

1. Attack Christian child-rearing that treats children as if they need instruction in God’s ways, direction in life and discipline. Say that children pretty much know the right way themselves and just need their parents to listen to them.

2. Introduce ever-more antichristian entertainment.

3. Put the government in charge of “teaching parents how to parent” when the consequences of 1 and 2 start to show up, but only for the sake of secular humanists obtaining dictorial control over people’s lives, justified as “for the sake of the children.” Secular humanists who never stop howling about children encountering the mere subliminal suggestion of God in school will be all for this plan despite its obvious trampling on individual rights because “it’s needed.”

The author of Child, Please, a new book I read recently, says "White parents are punks!"

I'm sure she doesn't mean freeper parents. More like the parents where I live, on the Upper West Side of NYC. And not all of them, either. Sometimes I feel like applauding, but I don't want to interfere even slightly in a good thing. As when a mother yanked both her sons right out of Starbux when they started fighting over something. Before they could get their hot chocolate or whatever! Unheard of!

And obozo doesn’t need any more ideas on how to interfere in the lives of citizens....Shut up Cameron! Boy! Is that idea ever going to serve as a distraction from the real problems in the UK.

Is everyone ready for the lecture tonight? THAT will be more about what we are doing wrong, how we need to embrace/love muslims than anything about the STATE OF THE UNION. ISLAM has nothing to do with terrorism yadda yadda yadda! Count on one thing - it WILL BE A LECTURE!

If we’re lucky, it will take all his time just introducing the GUESTS and he won’t have time to lecture us.
