Hi Kathy. I lived in JAX. I had friends who lived on base and I spent a good amount of time there, NAS also.
Good evening, Pro...
Still warm here...maybe rain and snow showers tonight and tomorrow.
I was there twice in the 70’s.
Aviation firefighting training and R1051 radio receiver training.
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
My BIL was a Naval Aviator back in the 60s. He was right in the thick of the Cuban missile crisis.
At one time he was stationed in Jacksonville tho I don’t think it was Mayport. I visited him and my Sister and they lived in Orange Park.
Hai - rolled in mid morning. Dad had to super glue my nose back on ... LOL.
Good evening, radu...thanks for your support of our troops, past and present.
Roads were a bit slick this morning, but not shiny ice. Maybe rain and snow showers on the way. *sigh*
You cold?
Howdy, radu! (((hugs)))
Is it warming up there a bit?
Howdy, Kathy. I gather you were able to navigate those icy roads today without thumping anyone or anything. :-)
Here’s hoping you get some snow rather than rain tonight.
Yep, still cold here and will be for a while. We get a short reprieve over the weekend, at least.
I’m ready for Spring! LOL!
When I signed off last night there were multiple places colder than here. Sorry!
Howdy, LUV. (((hugz)))
Nope, no warm-up until Fri. and Sat. Looks like winter’s finally settling in after a warm autumn. At least it’s not like last winter when we were frigid beginning in Nov.
Did you get your warm-up yet?
Yeah, we were one of them!
I am presuming Navy....
Good evening, yarddog...Florida military bases must have been interesting places to be during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
