He’s a hypocrite. No, this is not name-calling. It’s not hateful rhetoric. It’s just the plain truth.
Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) has introduced H. Res. 569, a foolish piece of legislation condemning “hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States.†The legislation already has 105 co-sponsors, all Democrats, with more supporters jumping in every day.
Rep. Beyer, who was a car dealer before entering Congress in 2015, submitted the resolution on Dec. 17, just over two weeks after a Muslim couple – in the name of Islam – wounded 22 people and killed 14 innocent souls in San Bernardino, Calif.
The freshman congressman could have better spent his time before Christmas lashing out against Islamic extremism. Instead, he decided to take aim at American citizens who were fed up with Muslims committing mass murder in the name of Islam.
Let’s be honest; at the time of the San Bernardino massacre, Americans were still trying to digest the Paris attacks of a few weeks earlier. That incident witnessed 130 people killed in the name of Islam.
