Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly is planning payback for President Obama's dismissing Mr. Netanyahu's objections to the Iran nuclear deal last year. Mr. Netanyahu is said to be rallying moderate Arabs to thwart Mr. Obama’s bid to become the Secretary-General of the United Nations after he leaves the White House next year. Mr. Obama has already discussed the issue with Republican, Democratic and Jewish officials in the United States, according to Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida. Mr. Netanyahu recently is said to have gotten wind of Obama’s plans which he calls the Obama Project. "Wasn't eight years of having Obama in office enough?" Mr. Netanyahu is quoted in the Kuwaiti daily as telling associates. "Eight years during which he ignored Israel? And now he wants to be in a position that is liable to cause us hardships in the international arena."
"Obama is the worst president Israel has had to deal with and the worst president for the Middle East and its allies, the moderate Arab states," the paper quotes a Netanyahu aide. Another source close to the Prime Minister said "his presidency was characterized by [Washington's] moving closer to the Muslim Brotherhood, toppling the regime of Hosni Mubarak, and attempts to ally itself with political Islam." I heard this all before. They tried to talk up Bill Clinton for the Job after his Presidency.
Obama isn’t well respected in the world. He has led from behind, screwed up relations with allies like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, Israel. Arab Spring caused a mess.
Putin showed up Obama in Syria, and Ukraine. Even sending back the Bust of Churchill was an insult to UK.
But, if Obama got the Job, I would be for USA defunding the UN. Heck, I am always saying its a hotbed of anti USA and Jew hatred.
And the GOP hates Obama so defunding the UN under Obama would be great sport.

j.... I think you are right. If my memory serves me right, the UN charter prohibits any of the 5 permanent members of the Security Council to be Secretary-General.

I laughed when I read that, then I thought....
Obama cannot be the Secretary-General of the UN, at least not unless they change the Charter. The Secretary-General cannot be a citizen of any of the permanent member nations of the Security Council. So no Russians, Americans, Chinese, British or French.
Leader can’t come from a Security Council country....
My family hates me.
I called Obama’s UN ambition early in his first year in office.

Hating America of all colors , loving the downtrodden brown peoples from Central and South America, showing good love for jihadi muzlims, putting our national security at risk, shredding our Constitution at every opportunity, destabilizing the entire ME.
This guys entire administration has been an application for the UN Secretary General.
His moves in the ME have been power moves to get rid of the least troublesome players.
Khadaffi in Libya had pulled his horns in and was playing nice. Even paying the families of the Lockerbie bombing.
Assad is not a nice guy. He dealt in terrorism but christians and other non muzlims were safe in Syria.

Bibi may get some help from Egypt, but the Saudis are exporting izlam like a hood rat selling crack so they may pay lip service but they won’t be any help.
Maybe Abdullah in Jordan but that’s precious little help.
Once he promises European style open borders in North America the Central and South Americans will be on the Obama Express.
Even money says he gets the job then finishes off those parts of the world he hasn’t been able to screw up as POTUS.
However, how's this for throwing something into the mix....maybe that's why he's purported to have purchased a mansion in Dubai. Maybe he's already been made a money-making offer he can't refuse in that super-wealthy emirate....including being a citizen which would render him eligible for SG.
(The revelation of this alleged purchase is said to be the reason why that U.S. admiral was dumped from the service by Obama a week or so ago.)
But, actually, there's not enough money to be grafted or stolen when your sitting in the Secretary General's chair at the stuffy UN.
When Obama leaves office, he'll develop his already-registered foundation so that it equals at least partly the fraudulent income of the Clintons....all the while considering various lucrative, powerful gigs with some questionable entities anywhere in the world.
Like TB or smallpox Barak Hussein Obola will never be completely eradicated from our world till he or we shuffle off this mortal coil.

Since when have ANY RULES applied to Obama and/or Clinton for that matter?
You are correct, anyone from one of the 5 permanent members of the security council are no eligible, but like I said, rules don’t matter to obama.
