Billboard is reporting it now. Well, Bowie may have sold more records, but Lemmy outlasted him. HA!

The remix of that song by trent Reznor is one of my favorites.

Well, d***. I hoped it was a hoax but it seems it’s not. :-(
Very sad news. I’ve enjoyed his music since his Ziggy Stardust days. Had no idea he was ill.

Mick Ronson was perfect

Don’t like seeing anyone go. Of course he was iconic then and even now.

This was a surprise. Didn’t know he was struggling.

If he was in deep pain I am happy he has moved on.

No matter the wealth, the standing, the importance, the amount of love or hate, we all leave at some point.

He will be missed, but the he will live on through his music too.

Enjoyed some of his work quite a bit.

I’m more wondering how Rodney Bingenheimer is going to deal with it.

Damn, I don’t want to hear it — I can’t tell you how many times that awesome song has been my earworm.

R.I.P. David Bowie.

I went to a lot of concerts in the ‘70s but never made it
to a Bowie concert. Would have been great.

Ronson was a great guitarist who died pretty young himself. Early 90s iirc.

But David pretty much blew them away with one of the best guys ever - Adrian Belew. Man, that guy can play all day and you never get tired of it!

"Maybe he knew he was gonna bite it and wanted to put out one last album. "

I've heard 4 cuts and so far looks like his best.

Ground control to Major Tom... Please come in Major Tom.... Please come in Major Tom.... Major Tom, are you receiving?... Major Tom?... Major Tom, please come in...

Oh no, something’s wrong....

“Space Odity” is one of the most beautiful and inspirational songs I ever heared. Today it reminds me of what America once was.

My first Bowie album was a copy of Aladdin Sane. I lost count of the times I played it on my stereo, or the number of stylus needles I used up playing it. What a talent.

RIP.

He had like meningitis when he was a kid. It paralyzed his eyeball, but he could still see out of it.

"His latest album is among the best he has ever done."

The 4 cuts I heard make it clearly the best.

Floating in a alternative universe...not a spaceman...but maybe time traveler?

The atmospherics are unlike anything I heard before. I read an interview and he said he wanted to bring together jazz musicians to play pop songs in a very slow, jazzy way.

It's haunting.
