SAN ANTONIO – Texas-based Blue Bell Creameries, which stopped production and distribution of ice cream to 25 states in April after the discovery of listeria bacteria, said on Friday that listeria was discovered again in a production facility.

The company did not specify in a statement in which of its three facilities listeria had been found but said that none was found in any of its ice cream. Blue Bell said it is moving to eliminate the bacteria through a "seek and destroy" process.

Why are they still in business? Should have packed up bags long ago (and re-opened with a new name). No goodwill or reputation in that name.

That was my thought. At this point. Let Blue Bell keep whatever goodwill remains for this label, and diversify with new names for old products. Something has to change dramatically, this time. maybe the leadership.

You can't judge all Blue Bell ice cream based on a few samples of Listeria. Only 0.1% of all containers of Blue Bell contain Listeria, but that's no reason to remove all of them off of the shelves. That would be profiling.

You never know, the Chipolte in town was jammed today. Some folks just figure it won’t happen to them.

I live an hour from their Sylacauga plant, and the buttered pecan is the shizzle, IMO......

Listeria is tough to get rid off once there before.

I don’t think I can ever feel good about Chipotle again. Blue Bell was a maybe until this development. I wonder if someone is targeting them.

Neither is Ted Cruz, by the arbitrary, made-up rules that many Texans love to list at any and every given opportunity.

Not gonna' lie, I'd love to end up in Texas some day. And one of my favorite parts will be detailing my Hiberno-Yankee, blue-belly heritage to my new neighbors, and then adjusting my spankin' new cowboy hat just so as I say, "but that was before, I'm a Texan now."

Almost makes you think someone is targeting them.

Like 9/11, the first plane hits, and you think, "What's going on?"
The second plane hits, and then you knew what was going on.

I live in New Mexico, and with all the great Mom and Pop places, I don’t see how Chipolte survives.
