A Baltimore Sun columnist wrote in a Thursday op-ed that citizens who legally own firearms are more frightening than the criminals who use the weapons on the rough streets of her hometown.
Tricia Bishop, deputy editorial page editor for the Baltimore paper, explained how billboards advertisements for guns and everyday Americans carrying them around made her sick.
“I’m less afraid of the criminals wielding guns in Baltimore… than I am by those permitted gun owners,” Bishop said.
She says this because she believes as a middle-class white woman, she’s shielded from her city’s criminal element but, in her opinion, she’s not protected from her neighbors’ legally-purchased weapons.
“I have the luxury of being white and middle class in a largely segregated city that reserves most of its shootings for poor, black neighborhoods overtaken by ‘the game,'” she wrote. “But I don’t know where the legal gun owners are or how to ensure that their children, no matter how well versed in respecting firearms, won’t one day introduce that weapon to my daughter.”

Fairly common argument several years ago. The gun grabbers were actively campaigning for people to interrogate their neighbors about gun ownership and prohibiting their children from playing with children of gun owners. The idea was to put pressure on families to disarm. Imagine your daughter (in tears) telling you: “Daddy, Mary’s mother won’t let me play with Mary because you own a gun. Please get rid of it so I can play with the rest of the kids.”
She’s more afraid of legal gun owners than criminals? I call BS because if that were true, liberals like her wouldn’t dare try and take those guns. But since she decided to publish this tripe, I challenge her to prove her point and head to the nearest high-crime area in her vicinity and walk it alone at night.
At some point, these people become so ridiculous you just have to roll your eyes and move on.

It appears that reason and intelligence scare you far more than either. That must be the reason you stay so far away from them.
Fortunately for Tricia Bishop there are no laws forbidding stupidity. What a good little useful idiot she is.

The tables I visit the proprietor ALWAYS clears the weapon before handing it to an interested party. Maybe the word has gotten around that moonbats might pull something like this.

I wonder if she has anything in her house that she wouldn’t want people to know about??? I bet she does. If I were her neighbor I’d ask her point blank what toys she has in response to her question to me about firearms.
