Emergency Editorial: Ammon Bundy Occupation Should Be Met With Prudent Response By Patriots
Original Content | 1/3/2016 | By Laz A. Mataz

In the last day or so, a very dangerous situation has emerged in Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, near the town of Burns, Oregon. Ammon Bundy and about a dozen men, armed with firearms, have occupied a closed Federal building on that property. The local Sheriff has backed down, and there are rumors of Special Response Teams staging nearby.

This building is a smallish, very isolated building in the middle of a large National Refuge. Someone posted on a thread under a Guardian news article about this, "I'm in Oregon. These guys took over a headquarters building but it's kinda like an old brick house your grandma would live in and it's at least 50 miles from nowhere. You guys have a good time."

I do not intend to explore the minutia behind the case. That is a matter for courts. I do intend to explore the responses to this that we should take, and those we should not take.

I had a chance to hear a CNN interview with Ammon Bundy. At best, his narrative can only be described as incoherent. The CNN host, remarkably constrained in his questioning, asked what the government could do to unravel this. After a lot of "um's" and "uh's", the best Ammon could come up with was, "The government needs to start following the Constitution." The host wanted a more definitive answer, and Bundy had nothing. Simply put, this guy is the perfect foil for a police-state government move.

We all agree. The Federal government does need to start following the Constitution. This is a fight for the court system, and if there is no relief there -- AND it happens to more than a handful of us -- THEN other more drastic measures can be considered. The key is the universality of violation. The cases of Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Bundy Ranch -- while all eregious -- are spread apart by years and have happened to the tiniest percentage of people. The proper response to these actions are judicial in nature. Take these things all the way up to the Supreme Court. These venues NEED to be fully-explored, first.

If, however, this sort of government abuse begins to happen in greater and greater numbers, there comes a time when there is a tipping point. When OTrauma just starts going full-Stalin, we must react, or die on our knees.

I don't think we are there yet, notice how delicately he's treading on his gun control Executive Order tomorrow. It's basically a tiny measure -- purported to be background checks if the seller sells 25 guns a year -- and he had his people research it for months before deciding to proceed.

There comes a time he won't be so careful or delicate. That's when we know the balloon went up. Either that, or if we ever awake to find that the electric or communications grid is down. Those are proper signs that something srastic must be undertaken.

If the Feds undertake an attacking action, and lose anyone, this will be the chance for OTrauma to actually impose some Stalinist directives. Anything from a declaration of a National Emergency to martial law could be reasonably taken, and the masses of people would go right along with it. See, the masses of people need to feel the boot before they will join. There must be more support by the general population before we can move. There are also several ways to conduct ourselves. One is more direct action, but another seems to be effective as well. Look at Czechoslovakia for how a successful 'velvet revolution' can occur, or how the 'Arab Spring' caused (admittedly harmful, in this instance) change. Anything where we are the vast minority, and a Fed-supportive populace is the vast majority, is simply a death sentence for more of our liberties, and perhaps even a death sentence for we who believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

This particular set of actions by Ammon Bundy are just unwise. One actually wonders if he wasn't emboldened or encouraged to act recklessly by agents of the administration, embedded in his group.

I call upon Ammon Bundy to stand down, and work the court system -- all the way up to SCOTUS -- at this time. I plead for all patriotic-minded individuals to stay away from this situation.

Other than a family trip to the Black Hills this summer, I didn't have anything else plan...

I'm ready when the rest of you decide its "The Perfect Time"TM, because you just KNOW the Feds are gonna pitch it low and over the plate for us to knock out of the park...

Right?

Gotta run Laz. Play-date in progress and Momma wants to take the dog for a walk to escape the chaos. Daddy on Duty.

I am thinking that more than one or two of our founders would have probly been shooting back by now.

With that, These guys took over an unoccupied facility on Federal property and have taken their stand. They couldnt have brought THAT much stuff with them. How long do they intend to last?

This is a story about two old men, who started a fire to burn off weeds on their property, and the Obama regime charged them with terrorism, and when they were sentenced to 3 years in prison, the Kangaroo judge said it was not enough, as this was terrorism, so gave them 5 years.

What is most distressing about this, is the criminal apologists for the Obama regime, the shills of Fogbow are backing this treachery and criminalization of Americans. I repeat, again, that 73 year old Dwight Hammond and 46 year old Steven Hammond were convicted of "terrorism" when the Obama regime could not even term their muzlim terrorists of San Bernardino as terrorists.

What no one has addressed in this, as the Supreme Court infringed on these American's Rights, in denying to hear this case, which proves that the Roberts Court belongs in 1950 Kremlin mockeries of justice against Citizens, is that there are statutes in EVERY American state mandating that if people do not control noxious weeds, they will be fined and then charged by the state for the spraying of weeds.

There is not one of you living in a city, even liberals, who has not heard of your local regime bitching at people for not mowing lawns or controlling their dandelions. That is what the Hammonds were doing. The Indians burned off prairie long ago, God burns off prairie to maintain it, but in the Obama regime, Americans mandated to control noxious weeds are now tried as terrorists.

This has already been brought to SCOTUS.

They denied the writ.

All legal options are exhausted.

Hammond s are spending the next 4 plus years in prison.

It’s to show white ranchers whos boss.

ONLY because patriots spoke out about them!

When OTrauma just starts going full-Stalin, we must react, or die on our knees.

Zero is pretty far down that road already, and it's only the Tea Party, patriots, and the few shreds of our Constitution that we have left that have restrained this America-hating, racist dictator wannabe from going all the way. I expect him to keep trying.

One of the first things I thought of when hearing about this is the ROTC Headquarters takeover at Columbia University by our future Attorney General Eric Holder in 1970.

The Bundy’s very well may have been misguided from within with expert timing.

It wouldn't surprise me with this bloodthirsty regime. They haven't gotten much traction out of their mass shootings, so they have to try another tactic.

Another Waco?

That's the plan. That's exactly what will happen if Dear Leader gets his way.

Constitution is prime, but not only, requirement.

Cruz is a strategic actor. One of the mistakes of both Obama and the neo-cons in the Bush Administration is they lacked a strategy. The Middle East is a Chess game played out over many decades.

Cheney-RhinoRummy-Wolfowitz-Kristol-etal made an impressive first move in the game by deposing Sadam.

Unfortunately they did not know what to do next.
They disbanded the Iraqi Army...big mistake.
They tried to impose a strong Central Government that neutered the local leaders. Big Mistake.
They imprisoned Bagdadhi types who used the prison to recruit and train ISIS. Then they released these trained terrorists.

If you are going to fight, fight to win. And if you fight to win, then have a winning strategy with many moves in the game and plan Bs and plan Cs.

And don’t let me get into Obama’s incompetence.

The government agreed to the original sentences in writing.

Some homosexual at the DOJ in DC decided to appeal anyway, and the degenerate homosexuals on the Ninth Circuit railroaded the Hammonds for another 4 years.

This would NOT be happening if the Hammonds were black, Hispanic, or muslim.

This point cannot be emphasized enough.

All Americans need to understand what has happened here.

These are political prisoners.

Another Waco will only help Trump.

And Lucy T, this sentence from your LC quote bears repeating:

"I repeat, again, that 73 year old Dwight Hammond and 46 year old Steven Hammond were convicted of "terrorism" when the Obama regime could not even term their muzlim terrorists of San Bernardino as terrorists."

It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties. . . . The freemen of America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise, and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle. We revere this lesson too much, soon to forget it. . . .

What will be telling will be the actions of the government. Right now we have a bunch of folks essentially trespassing on Federal land, armed, and possibly have entered a government building. No violence as at Waco prior to the siege, no “kids” for Janet Reno to get all “concerned” over.

These guys are going to get hungry, dirty, tired, in much shorter order than they think. They have no way to resupply. If they try to leave, they’ll be picked up.

So, do they get waited out or made an “example” of?

Knowing that the Supreme Court rejected the case does alter things a bit. It adds a great air of injustice to this.

I still stand by Travis McGee, however, that people should not be willingly walking into such an obvious false-flag setup by the FedGov.

Civil protests and disobediance is a more fruitful measure. This one is a clear setup to strip us of more gun rights.
