Actor Wayne Rogers died on Thursday from complications from pneumonia, his rep exclusively tells ET. He was 82 years old.
Rogers, who hailed from Alabama, is best known for playing the role of Captain "Trapper" John McIntyre in the classic television series M*A*S*H from 1972-1975. He also had recurring roles in City of Angels, House Calls, and Murder, She Wrote.

Yep. I remember hearing him talk about that. He took a lot of (friendly) flack from others on the TV program about being shirtless.

I don’t I’ve had much if any interaction with anyone who follows me and I really don’t look for it. If someone wants to, that is fine.
He was a much better actor and contributed more to MASH than his replacement Mike Farrell (a whiny liberal ass that showed in his character portrayal).
Wayne was a good balance for Alda. When he left, the balance was gone and the show became purely liberal leaning.
I enjoyed him on the Saturday finance show, he and Jonathan would get into every once in awhile. I never really watched MASH.

Remember seeing him at LAX decades ago. He looked familiar, but I was not a TV fan, so no connection until later. Tall dude.

I just realized this was Trapper John M.D.!
This has NEVER occurred to me until this second.
Aside from his work in television, Rogers was also a regular panel member on the Fox News Channel stock investment television program Cashin' In, thanks to a hugely successful career as an investor, real estate developer, and money manager. He was also the head of Wayne Rogers & Co., a stock trading investment corporation.
That's gotta be bugging him right about now.
M*A*S*H really went down hill after Wayne Rogers and McLean Stevenson left the show. R.I.P. Wayne Rogers.

His replacement on MASH was that Liberal jackass, Mike Farrell (”BJ” Honeycutt.)
Indeed it did. Became political. Hated the show after they left.
