Ted Cruz lead the Republican field nationally, but Trump trails either Democratic candidate, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, and 50 percent of American voters say they would be embar rassed to have Trump as president, accordin g to a Quinnipiac University National poll released today. Trump has 28 percent of the GOP pack, with Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 24 percent. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida has 12 percent and Dr. Ben Carson has 10 per cent, the independent Q uinnipiac (KWIN - uh - pe - ack) University Poll finds. No other candidate tops 6 percent with 8 percent undecided. But 58 percent of those who name a candidate might change their mind. Among Democrats, Clinton tops Sanders 61 â 30 perce nt. There are a few on either side typically flinging turds.
Butthurt crybabies. Too bad you can’t take it as well as you dish it.
I know plenty of Dems who are ready to vote for Trump over Hillary. It’s not just us. Many of them neither like, nor trust her. We used the call these people “normal” Democrats, btw.
But have yet to meet a single one, who will vote for Cruz if he is our nominee (as I would). Not a single one.
Just my two cents...
What is the Cruz-supporter name-calling (by Trump supporters) equivalent of ‘Trumpanzee’?
I am embarrassed, he acts like a 3-year-old spoiled brat and hardcore trumpees imitate him with a variety of name calling included retarded, stupid, and worse to anyone who disagrees with their assessment of Trump. I find it very sad. Even during the debate his eye rolling and making faces was juvenile at best and disrepectful to the process. As if he were running for sixth grade clown instead of POTUS.
I would be willing to wager many of those individuals would struggle to spell the word “embarrassed” correctly. Probably part of the “AndIWasLikeOhMyGod” crowd.
‘Even during the debate his eye rolling and making faces was juvenile at best and disrepectful to the process.’
That must explain the steep decline in his vast, huge, massive, packed-to-the-ceiling crowds in the wake of the debate.

I am no fan of Trump but you are right!!!!
Trumps receives overwhelming support from the blue collar class.
But go ahead and mock then. The liberals certainly do.
Think over the last eight years. Do you remember a similar poll regarding 0bummer? I don’t either.
Total BS.
then = them
What Trump has in store for Clinton has yet to be seen. She'll need more than a few bathroom breaks.
Fox News has been, um, “trumpeting” this poll all morning. They are also hyping “Hillary trounces Trump in matchup.”
Yes, everything you said is true and Trump is not my candidate (CRUZ all the way) but what “the Donald” has done couldn’t be done by anyone else - I don’t think. He almost single handedly has changed the media narrative, or who can control it. He is totally unafraid. He’s stated things publicly that many have thought or said privately. He is helping to destroy PC in America and that’s good. Crude, absolutely. Hand on the button, I’d be scared to death. Want him as my president, no, as Mark Levin said populism without conservatism is liberalism (which is what Trump really is - the practical populist - anything to get the job done - to H... with the rest. But I would rather him than a Dem. Nobody feels that way about our current president? Not much apparently. No one embarrassed about the abortion industry? It gets down to what you’re comparing to. Cruz is classy and smart and a conservative - but if he doesn’t win would you vote for Hitlery or stay home?
There is a difference between blue-collar and those who think they are continually setting history based on the opinions of pop culture figures. The latter is part of the Democrat base.
Was there ever any poll (or whatever) for Ted Cruz not being constitutionally eligible to be the POTUS/Vice-president?
I would vote for Trump if he is the nominee, but not for Cruz simply because he is not a natural born citizen eligible to be the POTUS. (I can’t be a hyprocrite as to reject obola but not Cruz when both of them are constitutionally ineligible.)
But for the above mentioned reason, I’d have gladly voted for Cruz if he is the nominee.
You bet the liberals/leftists/socialists/communists/lamestream media WILL challenge Cruz’s eligibility if he is the nominee, and no one will have a chance to vote for Cruz. (Unless the GOPe made a pact with the DemocrRats to not challenge Cruz’s eligibility....)
Cruz hasn’t taken live fire for 6 months. Just wait.
Where in your post did you specify you were talking about the Dem base? The discussion has been about Cruz and Trump supporters.
I’m embarrassed by The Won and Trump. The assumption that “only voters on the take” are embarrassed by him is sadly mistaken. I suppose I may be on the take since I do take tax deductions for my mortgage interest and tithe. Perhaps I’d feel differently if I didn’t....
