You are probably more right than you know.
THEY are all grifters with the exception of a handful, and they are making sure they land on their feet in the economic upheaval to come.
Their masters are no longer the American people, but K Street and the special interests.
I don’t think the Republicans fear a government shutdown. They’ve just erected this huge boogieman to hide behind so they can do the bidding of their big donors rather than those who voted them into office.
IMHO, it’s not that the Rs “caved”, per se. I think they are just as big spending whores as the Ds. I think that rather than being dragged, with heels dug in, up to the point of reluctantly signing; I think the minute the budget subject came up, behind closed doors the Rs started ripping off their righteous Rino robes, and in wild naked abandon, jumped into the tax-and-spend slough, where the Ds were born and reared.
Same $hit new day and it will continue until we change it. We need a Congress that doesn’t bend over and grab it’s ankles every time the Muslim Mutt asks.
I bet Zero gives “reach arounds”!
I support Cruz but I think you are right about this stinkbomb handing the nomination to Trump.
536 should be in prison and their assets seized. We were not born to be debt slaves to criminals.
Socialism Is Legal Plunder - Frederic Bastiat
The Republicrats are just as evil and traitorous as the hell-spawned Demonicrats. There is no politician of wither party who is not complicit in this treasonous debauchery.
Even if Trump were elected and truthfully attempts to do what he said he wants to do, what could he actually accomplish with a totally corrupt Congress and SCOTUS, not to mention the fifth-column leftist media whores?
Well there you go. There was a lot of speculation on FR yesterday as to whether Trump would comment on the budget. I think he summed it up nicely with, “The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people.” Truth is, we’re not a special interest, just the people who elect the traitorous bastards.
GOP voters threw in the towel on their country electing people that campaigned on working with Obama.
I bet Trump has the ability to dig up dirt on ALL of these clowns. When he is elected I would use it! Not to blackmail them, BUT to force them out!
I can only imagine the "stuff" in McConnell's closet, and the Governor of Kentucky is a good Tea Party Republican.
They betrayed every last LEGAL American in the Untied States and have just sent us closer to the cliff of having our Great Grandchildren being forever in debt.
Yeah I guess you could say that was a great big YUGE towel that was thrown in.
I wonder what Ryan’s right arm is doing because Ol big Ears sure does have a smile on his face
There all traitors.
Time to feed the pigs
DING! DING! DING!
WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
GIVE THAT MAN A KEWPIE DOLL!!!
The worst part is, they did it just so they could get the hell out of town for their Christmas break. I’m so sick of Congress.
I would support a Presidential candidate, right now, who ran on one thing and one thing only...
TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESS AND SENATORS
Congress threw in the towel because the speaker no longer needs one. He no longer shaves.
“Throwing in the Towel” implies there was a fight. There was not... Our guys willingly went along with this...
More money for people who could hurt our country.
More help for special interest who could help congressmen ge re-elected.
This is a direct consequence of failure of the House and Senate to pass budgets and appropriation bills, and that is the fault of the Republican leadership. Better to have a thousand battles during appropriations markups than one big one. And it is easier to cut the EPA by 30% and dare Obama to veto it than to let him threaten to shut down the entire government.
Omnibus bills surrender the power of the purse.
