GOP frontrunner Donald Trump told Breitbart News that Republicans in Congress âthrew in the towelâ when drafting the 2016 budget.
âThe only special interest not being served by our government is the American people,â he said late Thursday night.
âIf anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker [Paul] Ryan,â Trump said about the Omnibus spending plan, which will likely be finalized on Friday morning.
The budget allows $1.1 trillion in 2016 spending.
âTo avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline,â he said.
âThe American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare. Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests. How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay? Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it. Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?â

I've stated this before. They're lining their and their sponsors pockets now because after November 2016 the game is OVER!
This hole we are in, is so wide and deep, it would take an army of Trumps to fill in just a small part of it.
And the GOPers chickened out...
Towel? They threw that out with the baby and the bathwater...the GOP is broken and I don’t think Trump and what few would stand with him can fix it...I read in the fine print of the 2,000 page omnibus bill there is a provision for a new closet in the House and Senate GOP Cloak rooms to hang thier spines before they go out onto the floor! /sarcasm tag.

OUT with the GOP!!!!!
the republicans threw in the towel in 1988
The Democrats have the GOPe trembling with fear about blame for government shutdown. How do Democrats remain blameless in a shut down situation? Shut the damn thing down. Clean house in 2016 from the top down.
If the situation was reversed the Dems would shut it down.
Our party is nothing but a bunch of wimps..with few exceptions.
If Obama had a son.
A “dude bro” is speaker?
Looks like he wants to get back to his XBox and junk food.
Close the shop and bug out for Christmas vacay....
Some day we will actually get back to a REAL budget process.
Mass impeachment of the entire Executive branch, or election of a different bunch of rascals first, though.
Our party? We have one?
Go Trump.
Which one is Algore and which one is Tipper?
We do. The Uniparty.
The RINOs keep moving the goal posts. First, they whined that they could not do anything until the GOP controlled the Senate. Then when the Senate went Republican, they said well we cannot do anything without the WH, because Obama will shut down the government if we do not go along with him and it will get blamed on us. And you can bet that if we elect a Republican president, they’ll still refuse to fight and this time they’ll blame it on the Senate’s filibuster rules. The bottom line is that they do not want to fight, that they are not conservatives and are just as much the ‘party of government’ as the Democrats. And what is with Ryan’s beard? This is a heck of a time for him to have mid-life crisis. Is he going to get a top hat and go to war against the South or what?
Trump is upsetting the apple cart.
Merry Christmas
Memo to GOPe: this is why Trump is in the lead. People like Boehner, McConnell and, now, Ryan get elected upon a promise to stop Obama’s agenda and instead give him everything he wants like his personal Thai b!7ch boy.
