"We're At War, Get It Through Your Head", Trump Doubles Down During Combative Follow Up Interviews

12 hours after his dramatic campaign statement to shut out Muslims arrivals into the US, Donald Trump doubled down and in a series of interviews early on Tuesday, he repeatedly told anchors such as CNN's Chris Cuomo that "we're at war - get it through your head" in his latest heated exchange, during which he reminded America how quickly people have forgotten "World Trade Center #1 and World Trade Center #2."
One thing that Trump did stress throughout the media blitz is that his plan to prevent Muslims from entering the U.S. was "temporary." and in a follow up interview on ABC's "Good Morning America" he clarified that American Muslims living abroad could return to the U.S., following conflicting statements by his campaign yesterday: when asked if Trump's proposal applied to U.S. citizens living abroad, a Trump spokesperson had told The Hill on Monday that Trump's proposal applied to "everyone."
In the aftermath of yesterday's announcement, there has been a surge of media outlets comparing Trump to Hitler (as seen below).
George Stephanopoulos asked Trump during the ABC interview whether the candidate was bothered by the increasing number of such comparisons, to which Trump responded with a simple, "No."
As could have been expected, Trump's interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" turned combative when co-host Joe Scarborough tried to interject a question, while the real estate mogul continued to speak during the phone call-in interview. As the Hill reports, Scarborough threatened to send the interview to a break if Trump didn't allow him to ask a question. After Trump didn't relent, Scarborough instructed producers to cut to commercials.
After the break, Trump discussed comparisons to former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Questioned about whether he was proposing internment camps like the ones FDR created for the Japanese, Trump said, "I am not proposing that. This is a whole different thing," he added later during another combative exchange.
It wasn't just the leftist media that attacked Trump - so did the GOP, where rivals blasted Trump, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush who called it "unhinged," as well as the Republican party chairs in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. The White House and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton also panned the idea as un-American and unconstitutional.
Despite the condemnations, Trump said on MSNBC that "we have to get our hands around a very serious problem" adding that "not everybody has condemned" his comments.

I knew about a president having the power to stop foreigners coming into this country who want to sow dissent and overthrow our government for theirs.
Here is a podcast from James T Harris’s show in Tucson which discusses this with constitutional scholar Jeff Utsch.

This is what Obama should have announced at his “rare” Oval Office speech .... he is shutting down all immigration & VISAs until there is a handle on this National Security problem ... and those with VISA overstays are found & removed from the country.
His namby pamby rambling on the level of ‘can’t we all just get along’ is falling on the ears of people who feel threatened for their very lives. Having a co-worker show up with guns & a fellow terrorist to kill everyone in the room could happen to ANYBODY .... it’s not an overseas attack or a big event like the Boston Marathon ... this was in ‘everytown’ with ‘regular’ people & it has finally struck fear into the hearts of many people who were previously believing the ‘not an existential threat to America’ meme.

It’s hard to interpret meaning when only part of a sentence is given, but one doesn’t have to be a TJ scholar to know that he would have been among the loudest voices saying get the Muslims out of here if they were doing then as they are doing now. He would’ve recognized Islam as a false religion or cult by now or at least recognized the jihad principle as not compatible with civilized America.
The strategy per se will not neutralize the toxin which is Islam but at least it would take it off the streets of America.

You would think that the idea of a country getting to decide who can immigrate wouldn’t even be up for debate, but in today’s crazy, politically correct world, to forbid anyone from coming here is considered heartless and cruel.
Welcome, typical housewife and devout Muslim husband. Nice to see you working so hard in your garage late into the night!

Actually, I believe it is potentially a 14th Amendment equal protection issue more than a 1st Amendment issue. It is not preventing anyone from practicing their religion but might be discriminating based on religion. All this assumes that the Constitution was ever intended to protect foreigners ... but I see two general political problems with what Trump is doing: (1) taking all of the focus off of Obama’s failures and, in fact, making Obama look like a genius for focusing so much on anti-Muslim backlash in his speeches; and (2) giving the MSM even more fodder to elevate “prejudice” to the top of the list of campaign issues. Trump could have made the very same point in a different way and avoided all of this.

If Trumpâs policy was in place 15 years ago there wouldâve been no 9/11, Boston Marathon bombing or San Bernardino shooting.

I feel asleep with CNN on last night and I was awoken around 5:30 with Chris Cuomo screaming at Trump saying we should be like the French who are united and are not calling for a ban on incoming invaders. Trump held his own. It was a long drag out fight. And immediately after wards a panel of three chimed in.
Then Cuomo introduced the segment after the break: Isis numbers are under-reported, the number of wannabe jihadist leaving their home countries to get training is actually DOUBLE of what we thought.
In the interview the Muslim said that, even if there are 5% of Muslims in the US that believe in jihad, there are 10% of Muslims that are doctors, and in a small proportion of population in the US, that is remarkably good.
If Trump beats this drum, the Muslims who were responsible for giving information of bad Muslims and helping our government in rooting them out, they will close-up and we risk them turning against us.
Cuomo reached across and shook his hand that was as close as he could get to lip lock this guy.

Cnn interview with Chris Cuomo
http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/08/politics/donald-trump-ban-muslims/
CNN)Donald Trump warned Tuesday that there will be additional terror attacks in the U.S. if his temporary ban on Muslim immigration is not put in place.
“You’re going to have many more World Trade Centers if you don’t solve it — many, many more and probably beyond the World Trade Center,” Trump told CNN’s Chris Cuomo in a contentious interview on “New Day.”
A defiant Trump said he believes that there are already terrorists in America eager to harm the country.
“They want our buildings to come down; they want our cities to be crushed,” he said, noting that the Trade Centers were attacked twice and citing last week’s shootings in San Bernardino. “They are living within our country. And many of them want to come from outside our country...”
“”If you happen to be a Christian in Syria, it’s almost impossible to come into this country,” Trump said. “If you’re a Muslim, you can get in.”
Worth a listen.

These liberal politcos and liberal talking heads in TV are conflating American constitutional rights which apply to American citizens, and the legal rights of non citizens or aliens. There is a big legal difference.——————————————————————————————————————
which is what they do for illegals too.

I disagree, and that’s what the Uniparty is afraid of: The nation is ready to have this debate. The nation sees what is going on, and what Trump is made clear is that he’s smart enough to play out the string to the White House.
The Uniparty sees Trump as a guy with an explosive vest on. If he gets to the White House, I think a lot of people who used to have Ds and Rs after their names end up going to jail.
To them, Trump cheated. He sat on the other side of the table, did what he had to in order to build the hotels and golf courses. He knows the corruption from the inside.
There is likely not a mountain, but a CONTINENT of stuff the uniparty could use on Trump IF ONLY IT DIDN’T MEAN GETTING HAULED TO JAIL ALONG WITH HIM.
You can see that in pundits faces, “If you only knew what I knew about that guy, AND CAN’T TELL YOU ABOUT EVEN THOUGH IT IS MY JOB TO DO JUST THAT, you would never elect him.”
So Trump’s the guy who is saying, “You’re right, I did what I had to in order to build those properties, and now at my age I’m asking myself if we can continue to do things this way anymore. I don’t think we can.”
The interesting thing about that is that there are a LOAD of rich people out there that are quietly seeing the same thing. Ironically, CEOs and ex-CEOs of big banks that lived through the 2008 mess have been seething for years, and haven’t been able to say word one about it.
What they will tell you, is that the entire mortgage mess was created by Congress and presidents of both parties. They sat the big banks down and said, “You will start making loans to minorities who may not qualify for home loans.”
Banks told them, “If we do, they will default on those loans, and you know that.”
DC tols them, “Do it anyway, or we will haul you into court and then you can explain that to the papers and hope they understand the math.”
The banks knew they didn’t have a choice, so they consulted their brain trust. The banks came back with, “We’ll make the loans. However, we can’t keep the loans on our books, or eventually it will take us down. We plan on rolling the loans into a financial instrument and selling it to the public as high yield bonds. Spreads the risk, you get elected, and we stay alive.”
DC replied, “Fine with us.”
Then they did it. What became stupid is that the banks started trading in the crap they manufactured in the first place. The bonds meant yield, the government was underwriting the loans through Fannie Mae, so why not play musical chairs for a while?”
Blackpoint and others figured out how to short the entire arrangement by trading in the insurance on those bonds. They made an instrument that allowed you to buy the insurance policies on those bonds. If the bonds failed, then the investor would make a lot of money by becoming one of the beneficiaries of those insurance policies.
Then they created a market for those bond insurance instruments, allowing you to bundle those so that you could hold more insurance on more bonds.
As the default rate went up, the value of the instruments holding the insurance policies on those mortgage bonds holding all that crap also went up.
It didn’t take long before it became increasingly profitable to HASTEN the pace at which defaults would occur. The higher the default rate, the more valuable the instruments holding the insurance policies became, and people started buying and selling those policies.
The ONLY CRIMINAL THING in all of this was perpetrated by none other than Warren Buffett. He owned 20 percent of Moodys, the folks who rated bonds. A bond holding all these crap mortgages would normally get a junk rating, and the market would be, “OK, we know what we are getting into, so I’m going to buy it despite the risk because the yield would compensate me.”
Warren put the kybosh on rating those crap mortgage bonds. Instead of JUNK ratings, Warren put the A rating stamp on them.
That meant that pension funds, non-profits, and annuity companies could buy that toxic crap, which was made more toxic because all of those mortgages had been packaged together into the mother of all crap bonds.
Now your local church, CALPERS, and the Boy Scouts of America could invest in JUNK.
The bankers, of course, took all of this in the chin. They were able to retire or stay on after FedGov made a deal with them that kept them all from going under, and after allowing them to have the most profitable year in the history of banking in 2009, thanks to all that money they got in TARP.
However, the media has exacted a tool on those rich folks for the last six years, blaming them, and NOT CONGRESS and the UNIPARTY, for the mess.
Bottom line: TRUMP is all of those chickens coming home to roost. The press, politicians, and a lot of other people could probably say loads about Trump, but they can’t. Not without exposing their direct complicity in robbing the crap out of the American people on a scale so large history will wonder why we didn’t start shooting politicians in the streets.
I watched Bartiromo this AM express her faux indignation at Trumps muslim remarks without addressing the obvious - that the admin doesn’t have a plan, doesn’t want a plan, and is actually accelerating the pace of placing all those Syrian refugees (Dallas and Houston start getting theirs today). She is up to her NECK in what happened in 2008, knows the whole story, and has never said anything about it.
She’s a whore, and knows she’s always going to be a whore as long as she agrees to honor her deal.
Trump is honoring his deal. That’s the press’s problem with Trump and why they are going to have to do something to stop him.
My guess is one of the aggrieved minority classes Trump has been hammering on lately will be allowed to assassinate him, and he never makes it to Iowa.
Trump is smart, but allowing Secret Service to protect him isn’t what I’d call an effective security plan. He should have his own people, and like most private efforts, it will likely be more effective than what Uncle Sugar can come up with.
This is why while it is OBVIOUS that Trump is right, the entire establishment - including both parties and the press - will go on doing everything possible to ensure he doesn’t make it to the convention.
To all of that meta group, Trump better not make it to the convention. If he does, then Trump will win. It will make Humphries defeat look like a close game.

Yes and no. The evil obama owns, has been spread around like fleas on a dog... and the people don’t know they’ve been had. That’s the hard part. Enough believe him.
I remember studying history in jr hi... talking about the Russians and earlier, Hitler, and how they took over their country with communism and worse... I wondered then, how and why the people let it happen. Plus seeing the media, sided with the enemy. It didn’t look possible. Now we’re living it.
The people didn’t have any guns... look at what they are trying to do with that here ... and they want so bad to take Trump out... he’s their problem and they can’t stop him. Who else could do what he’s done.. to defy and then stand.. God protect him... please.
